Good place for tourists if you are not looking for a fancy hotel.

Great location, most attractive historical places are within a few minutes walking. Manager is working hard to meet the needs of our request. Before booking, I sent a message to the manager ask if possible to have a airport pickup at midnight. After confirmed, I booked 3 days. We arrived around 1am. Though we did not have the city view room first night as we booked, we have it on the rest of the 2 days. The manager and his wife keep the property very clean. We are very happy with staying here.

We stay from Friday to Sunday, the next door music entertainment is lively until midnight. I would be perfect had the windows can block the sound more for an early sleep.

Find a different hotel

Location.

It was overpriced, the floor was very dirty, not fresh sheets, and lots of mold on the ceiling in the room and inside the bathroom. We were in the room facing the street. There was a lot of loud music followed by lots loud street noise pretty much all night. We were exhausted after a long trip and we had ear plugs that helped a little. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for this price.

Friendly staff, great location, a good value budget option in Lima

The staff were very friendly and Cesar was extremely helpful organising a taxi to the airport and providing general advice and help. The location is fantastic, right by the main square and there's shops and cafe's nearby. I arrived late at night from Europe and the shop next door selling water and snacks was open until late which was a blessing.

It was pretty cold at night, make sure you have warm night clothes!

Hotel Plaza Mayor - perfect stay in Lima.

The Hotel Plaza Mayor in Lima is very close to the Plaza de Armas. Very friendly and helpful staff, I arrived at 6am but was allowed to check in with no additional cost. I had a spacious room, good facilities (shower) and good Wi-Fi.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Good for a city break.

The location

The first room was internal and without a window, which makes me feel claustrophobic. However we moved rooms and liked the second room.

Good hotel. Great location.

The only thing I did not love was that there were no restaurants close to the hotel. But there was a convenience store that sells empanadas, pastries, and sandwiches. And there were a lot of restaurants within a few blocks.

There was nothing that I didn't like. The staff is great, even though they don't speak much English, they are always willing to help 110%. The room was simple yet very clean and comfortable. The location is also good, literally across from the Plaza De Armas and cathedral..

Central location

The owner/ staff was waiting for us to check in a 2 am, and so helpful, I could hardly believe it, guided us towards the money exchange and extremely kind, thank you

Passable

Location very central to the Plaza.

Access to Reception is up long & narrow flight of stairs from street. Rooms up further stairs. No lift. Not good if you have heavy suitcases. No aircon in room and room was very hot and no air circulation. A fan is supplied but noisy. We only stayed one night. Suggest this place is good only if you are travelling with very light luggage and don't mind just a fan to circulate hot air in room. Room was clean and very basic. No safe in room.
