Everything! What can I say!!!
From the minute I arrived for a four nights stay, I was warmly greeted, and accepted as almost part of the family!
I was struggling with my physical health due to a condition I have, and this loving family ensured I was looked after from the minute i arrived, providing me with ice packs, herbal tea, and anything and everything else I needed. It was very much appreciated and never forgotten.
Communication was amazing. I was on a bus from Nha Trang, and received clear instructions on how to get to the property, and was met at the top of the road to ensure I could navigate through the small lanes to my room.
The room is big! Nice comfy double bed, the comfiest I had in Vietnam !
Nice big bathroom with hot shower, clean towels (beach towels also provided).
Room cleaned every day.
Brilliant choice of food/ breakfast that is delivered to your room daily of need be for 100,000. Main, a juice/smoothie, and a coffee/tea.
Ticked away in a lovely part of the village, and only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and warm South China sea.
Beers delivered to your sunbed. Perfect!
An bang itself is a lovely wee village, friendly people, and lots around to choose from, from restaurants, to sports bars, live music, massages etc.
Absolutely nothing to complain about from me. Booked for 4 nights, stayed for 10!

From the moment we arrived at **Local Beach Homestay in An Bang Beach**, there was something really special about this place.
We hadn’t realised beforehand that cars couldn’t enter the little village, but it wasn’t a problem at all. With the help of our taxi driver, we found our way through the laneways, where we were greeted by Hien, and I instantly felt such a warmth from her. She was incredibly kind, helped us with our bags and welcomed us with fresh smoothies.
Our room was absolutely beautiful — spacious, peaceful and comfortable, with a large terrace, day bed and, importantly in the Vietnamese heat, a fan! The bathroom was a great size too, and there were lots of thoughtful little extras that made our stay so easy and comfortable. Breakfast was available if we wanted it (which we enjoyed a couple of mornings), along with cold beers and other little necessities like toothbrushes.
Hien also provided free beach loungers for us, just a couple of minutes’ walk away through the gorgeous little village streets.
And the village itself… I absolutely loved it. Tiny laneways, bright colours, beautiful friendly locals and such a genuine little community feel. It was peaceful and welcoming and, after travelling for so long, somehow just felt like home.
We have now been travelling through Vietnam for over two months, staying in so many different places, and this has hands down been our most memorable stay
That is entirely thanks to Hien, her darling mother and her beautiful family. Their kindness and genuine hospitality are what made this place so special, and we were genuinely sad to leave & our daughter will definitely miss them.
If we return to An Bang, there is nowhere else I would want to stay. ❤️
The pillows were hard but that seems to be a common thing in Vietnam. Apart from that, nothing!
