Thilanka is an amazing host and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms while basic are clean and comfortable and are perfect for the safari and Sigiriya rock near by, I’d recommend staying here for anyone wanting to do both.
Sometimes the aircon was a bit slow but can’t be helped

Air conditioning worked well. Room was large enough for family of 4. The location is good to eat in nearby places. Do take mosquito repellents with you as quite a lot of mosquitoes.
Breakfast was the worst meal of all the places we stayed in during 2 week trip. It was meant to be Sri Lankan breakfast but it was only dhal and loaf of bread. The bananas were not ripe. I also found the shower, meant to be hot water, to be Lukewarm for a lot of noise. The second morning we went out for breakfast even though it was included in room rate.
