A wonderful nature experience while getting fully relaxed

Unique and very relaxing way to discover the backwaters individually and to experience local people life, culture and nature (birds!). The boat stuff was very friendly and supporting, open to arrange special wishes. A 2 day trip is a perfect duration to go deeper into the backwaters and to escape 1 day tourism (must be very crowded during high peak winter season)

Nothing really remarkable, possibly the sleeping cabins and living area can be fit out a bit more cosy, however it was clean and functional. Possibly mosquito window net in the cabins would be useful for those which do not like to use AC during night

Will not recommend it to anyone. Nasty experience

not well maintained, no cleanliness, bed sheets were not clean, there was no AC remote to control the temperature. There were bed bugs, lot of mosquitoes, insects and lizards everywhere, including dining table where they served us food. Staff askd us to turnoff the lights and music after 9:30 pm , what is the fun without music? Overall, bad experience.

A bit of luxury and well looked after. Great food.

A bit of luxury Indian standards. We were looked after well and the food was fantastic. Such a serene and beautiful day.

We got a slight electric shock from the shower. Other than that it was first class and worth the money.

Excellent value for a couple, unique experience

Until we got to the boat, we never quite believed that we would be the only passengers. We were and it was delightful. The route twists and turns round the Alleppey waterways and there is wildlife and human activity to see at all times. The food was sensational but we couldn't eat even half of it, so I was pleased to hear the crew eat the same food. Our captain pointed out sights to us and we had an interesting chat about birds, which he pointed out and we named. The overnight stay in a remote side canal was perfect for us as we were able to walk along the towpath, identifying birds in the paddy fields. There were sea eagles in numbers but we were particularly pleased to see some of our favourites, such as a pair of black rumped flamebacks, a stork billed kingfisher and an oriental magpie robin singing its heart out.

The only reason I am not giving a 10 score is that when the captain was off duty, the crew spoke no English and so we couldn't ask questions. I missed a chance to photograph a snake boat as a result, as we had almost passed it when I spotted it and it was the only snake boat on the route. We also couldn't communicate with the cook, to express our gratitude. Better directions to the mooring would be helpful.

The booking was went wrong somewhere and they didn’t reserve the boat for us. We went all the way to there and returned back to hotel. We were very disappointed I want recommend anyone for this place

Relaxing backwater cruise from Alleppey

We thoroughly enjoyed our backwater cruise aboard Aqua Castle. The crew were very attentive, the food plentiful & delicious and our cabin very comfortable.

The cruise star could have been more seamless. Highly recommend full arrival details advised ahead of cruise commencement. Per the confirmation our car dropped us at Punnamada Jetty & only then we were told to catch an auto to another location nearby.

Amazing hous boat stay

This is one of the best experiences we have had on our trip in India! 🙌 So nice house boat and such a nice trip around the lakes! We really loved our boat! All the rooms was super nice and the lounge was just perfect for relaxing and watching the amazing views! The staff was the absolute best you can dream off! They went above and beyond to make our stay the best (also to help us when one of us fell and hurt himself ❣️). And last but not least OMG the food! Excellent 👌 Thank you so much 🙏🏼

Alleppey house boat overnight cruise

Very courteous and helpful staff. Special mention of Mr Maneesh who gave us interesting information about the local area. The food was good and had a home made taste to it !

Just relax

Staff was very friendly,especially chef-he prepared meals adjusting to our taste. Rooms were clean , AC working in the evening, WIFi

Place for the night-stop could be more interesting, as it has very remote /far from living places and we basically spend our time from 6 pm inside the boat.

Superb

This was an absolutely amazing experience. The houseboat was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and kind. The food made by the chef was delicious and we felt lucky to enjoy such a variety of dishes. Our captain added to the experience by sharing knowledge of the surrounding areas. The views were incredible.

would highly recommend this relaxing beautiful trip. It was a beautiful memorable experience.

We stayed on the aqua jumbo vessel. The views were beautiful—got to witness the everyday life of people living in the backwaters . Staff was amazing-friendly and knowledgeable. Accommodations were not fancy but very very clean and perfect for us.food was amazing- portions were huge for every meal. We stopped overnight at a beautiful rice paddy that we were able to walk down too. It was home to a couple of families-they were all very friendly. The staff on board let us fish with them—a wonderful experience. The staff also were not overbearing— allowed us to have quiet peaceful time together. Asked if we wanted to get massages and go the the fish market-but were respectful and not pushy when we said no.

Bed could be comfier. some lounge chairs would be nice. Maybe some board games of cards to play at night. Shower was cold, but pleasant. Low water pressure-but also we knew we were on a boat, so it was fine. We brought our own beer— it was not served on board. So if you want beer, make sure to bring your own.
