We had a wonderful stay! The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained, and we felt very safe with the gated 24/7 security (they securely hold an ID at check-in). Check-in was smooth thanks to the 24-hour service, and our rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully lit. We loved the pool area and the adjacent bar—the Coco Locos were fantastic! We were in town for a wedding, and the staff did an incredible job creating a great atmosphere for all the guests. Even though our stay was brief, we really enjoyed our time here.
The only minor hiccup during our stay was that the main central restaurant near the pool was closed for renovations following storm damage. As a result, the staff had to bring food all the way from the back banquet hall to the pool area. This meant service took a bit longer and the food arrived cold. However, the staff worked hard under the circumstances, and it looks like the resort is actively fixing up the space!

Clean and very comfortable rooms. Staff are very attentive, the place itself is very peaceful. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the bathroom is perfect for a very relaxing stay. The air conditioning works perfectly.
The food can be very mediocre to bad for exceedingly high prices. In rainy season the beach gets very dirty due to the sediments and other runoff from the river.

Kids loved the pools and waterslides. Food was ok. Service personnel were very friendly.
Maintenance overall was poor. Facilities could definitely use more care.

Location, pools, closeness to beach.
Run down. Uncomfortable beds. Hardly any towels, not even a hand towel.
For being a resort, not many restaurant options or shops. Incredibly basic.
