Lovely and peaceful place to enjoy Mancora

Great location - 2 blocks walking from the beach and about 10 mins walking to Mancora’s main area. All moto taxi drivers know the place so it’s very easy to reach - about 3 soles to move around the area and about 15 soles to go to las Pocitas beach. Excellent facilities - everything was clean and tidy. My room had everything needed - towels, toiletries, TV, fridge and an air con machine. Also a very helpful device against mosquitos. I really enjoyed the pool after a beach day. Lovely and helpful staff - Martin and Silvia (the owners) and the other staff are always willing to answer your questions and provide some tips about the area.

Very nice enclosed courtyard that make the place very peaceful. Cats and dogs friendly place. The room was clean and comfortable and the owner very helpful. Good breakfast as well.

Quiet comfortable stay with plenty of pets

The place was very spacious and had a comfortable bed. Also it was quiet at night and the couple running the place was super friendly and aided where they could. The breakfast was simple but they always had fresh juice which I liked a lot. Also they love animals so a lot of them love there. They are super friendly though and mostly mind their own business.

I disliked a little that you had to ring the doorbell when you came home late at night (past 10pm). The owners said they didn’t mind and were friendly enough about it even when on weekends I came back in the middle of the night. Still, I would prefer if there was a pin lock or they gave you a key.

Super sweet hosts Lovely garden and nice pool Outside kitchen (basic) Paradise for cats and dog lovers

No hot water Have to ring to enter after 10pm but never has been a problem for the host or at least did not make you feel uncomfortable about it :-)

Exceptional

Very peaceful environment, great place to relax. It's close enough to the beach to hear the waves while far enough away from any bush roads. Would definitely recommend, the owners are lovely and welcoming also.

Great.

Guacamayo is a little and peaceful paradise where you can escape from the wildness of the other party hostels. If you want to party, there’s no problem since you can walk to every event. Afterwards you can sleep in peace. The owners are really kind and take care of everyone, including all the dogs and cats who’re living over there. We had the best time over here and would definitely go back! Oh and important: they’ll give you stuff against the mosquitoes, so it didn’t bother us at all!

Very good

The staff was very very friendly and the outdoor kitchen and pool were lovely.

The mattress could’ve been more comfortable and better pressure and hot water in the shower.

Exceptional

Gorgeous property. The hosts Martin and Sylvia are utterly charming and so helpful. They arranged breakfast for us free of charge when we arrived off the night bus from Cuenca at 5am. And sorted us a spare room to get some sleep. The pool area is gorgeous and while the rooms are basic everything is clean and works well - good shower, electricity points, etc. It’s a very calm and peaceful place a little away from the madness of Mancora centre!

The WiFi is not great - although this seems to be a common issue in much of the town. And it’s a bit of walk to the main centre - not a problem for us at all but worth bearing in mind if you don’t like to walk in the heat! Although a tuk tuk is only 3sols
