Excellent location, a ~20-25min drive from Vik and the black sand beaches, perfect for a family or group of friends where multiple bedrooms are preferred. We were lucky and saw an amazing Aurora. Rarely does the reality of staying at a rental match the online photos, but the Aurora view was even more beautiful in person!
There are outdoor street/security lights that could not be shut off, and diminished the aurora viewing somewhat.

The location was beautiful and close to Vik. It was very clean.
The bedrooms were super small. There was no room for suitcases. The queen bedroom needed space on both sides of the bed. A freezer would be helpful for ice when packing lunches. Very expensive.

Very clean, warm, and cozy! Great location! About 20 minutes west of Vik. It made the trip back to Keflavík a little closer!

Location was very good. Not too far from Vik. This why we chose this location.
Very large windows, view was quite nice - mostly farm pastures and the nearby farm.
The building was in good shape.
The owner did not respond to our emails after we arrived. We did see a sign (outside when we were leaving) asking us to call when we arrived. That sign should be inside the cabin. We arrived in the dark so we missed it.
The cabin was not being maintained well. The worst of all places we stayed.
- The window shades were all filthy and stained.
- Basic maintenance and care could easily & substantially improve it.
- Because it is next to a farm, we had cow manure smells and numerous flies in the cabin.
One bedroom was not large enough for an open suitcase - we needed to use the living room. This was not the only place we experienced this.
This was the highest cost place we stayed in during our 14 day trip. At over $500US per night, it simply was far too overpriced for what we got.
