Stay was generally ok. Facilities were adequate, though the microwave had plainly not functioned for a lengthy period of time.
The 10 MR/day tax charge to each person for occupation of a dormitory room bed is incorrect. This was not charged to me for similar dormitory occupation in a Kuala Lumper hostel. Why is this charge being levied on guests, at least those booking through Booking.com. You will never convince me the owner is paying the Malaysian Government 120MR/day in tax for full occupancy of the 12- person dormitory I was bunked in. The most the Government would expect is 10MR/day/room, no matter how many guests sleep in the room.

The place is neat and tidy, the owner is kind and happy to share tips and recommendations. Location is super close to most important Streets in George town. Overall it was a nice stay and experience
