The location is ok, a few minutes walk to one of the main bar and resto streets. The staff are good, always smiling and ready to help. I made a double booking by mistake and the problem was fixed very easily. There are events happening every now and then in the bar downstairs with chearful and friendly locals. The bunk bad was ok. The price is good, if you are looking for a cheap place.

This is an old house turned into a bar/hostel. The rooms and the toilets are worn down. The shower area is crowded with little cabins. There no hot water, or maybe it takes time to get hot water as the pressure is bad? The water supply is not 24hrs/day. The internet connection is slow and only operates upstairs, next to the room, not in the common area or the bar. There are 2-3 sockets in the dorm room with 11 beds and they are not functioning normally. The food and the drinks are overpriced. But then again, you get what you pay for. So, I recommend this place if you are down on budget and like a party hostel.

Удобно добираться, самый центр города но тихо. Рядом большой супермаркет. В самом отеле хороший недорогой ресторан, стейк из зебу очень вкусный. Если скучно и хочется общения- можно сидеть в баре и общаться с народом.

The staff were genuinely one of the best things about my stay. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. They all spoke very good English and were always quick to help whenever I had a question or needed something. Especially when I had just arrived in Madagascar, this made my first days much easier. The location is another big advantage. The hostel is very centrally located, and you can reach many places easily on foot, so I hardly needed to take a taxi. My room in the back area was also quite comfortable and nicely furnished. Overall, I liked the atmosphere of the hostel. It has a lively, local feel, and I can understand why many locals enjoy spending time there and attending the events.

The main downside for me was the location of my room. I stayed in one of the bungalows in the back, right next to the kitchen, so it could get quite noisy. Especially on my first night, there were several staff members sitting and eating directly outside the room. I completely understand that staff need a place where they can take their breaks, have a cigarette, chat and simply relax. I actually think it is important that they have that space. However, having this area directly next to the rooms, separated only by a glass door, meant that the noise was quite noticeable. Because of this, if I stayed again, I would probably choose a dorm rather than the bungalow. The dorms are located on the other side and might be a better option if you are looking for a quieter stay. The hostel could also get quite loud during events. This is more of a personal preference, though. The hostel seems to attract quite a lot of locals, and I think the events are a great way to create a lively and social atmosphere. It just wasn’t always ideal for me when I wanted to relax or sleep. I also expected to meet a few more international travellers during my stay. I met relatively few other travellers who were staying at the hostel, although this may simply have been because I stayed in the bungalow and therefore wasn’t spending as much time in the dorm/common areas.
