If you are touring the Douro Valley - and need accommodation look no further. Walking distance from Régua but Casa de Sao Domingos is a beautiful gated oasis. Lovely gardens, a pool & views over the hills. Our room was very comfortable, superb breakfast in the beautiful main house and a friendly welcome. Highly recommended

It’s a beautiful boutique hotel on a hill overlooking the Douro Valley. Manuel, the owner and host could not have been gracious, welcoming and caring. Their honor “bar” by the pool had water, beer, wine and sodas available anytime.
We were fortunate to have an outside room, one of 4 units adjacent to the main house. I don’t know what those rooms were like.

The view is great looking over the town and the river.
Everything was clean.
Bed too high; bedding not suitable for the cold weather. Had to add a blanket that was very large and heavy to manage.
No refrigerator in room.
Restaurants not close. Unable to get Uber back to property.
Host not available when checking out. Had to be woken up.
