A hidden gem

This apartment was great! Affordable, nice and helpful owners, fully equipped kitchen. Definitely worth it!

everything else was stupendous from maria's hospitality and availability to the size of the apartment and the solid convenience of its layout, furnishings and general amenity.

we had no hot water and the kitchen lacked a utensil or two

We stayed for 2 nights at the ground floor apartment. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Free parking is also provided. The hosts are very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

It would be more convenient if there was a shower instead of bathtub.

The location is just outside of Sami with a wonderful view of the water and city. We stayed for one night after arriving in Kefalonia, before we ventured up to Fiskardo. The apartment was spacious and welcoming and Maria was very nice.

Maria's in Kefalonia

The place was great. The cleaner was very welcoming and greeted us as the owner was not available due to an accident. The view was great, and the cool temperature in the place was excellent, and the sofa was an addition to relax. Everything was clean and tidy had the washing machine, which was great for travellers. Good to stay with a group of friends as the villa has many rooms. Basic were good and will stay again.

The bed was small as my feet kept hitting the bed frame at the end of the bed as it was double, so it was tight. There was nowhere to put the luggage bags except on the floor. There was no toaster in the kitchen, and the freezer didn't freeze for ice cubes being so hot, and the shower didn't have a holder for the shower hose. Make sure you have a car as the taxi drivers didn't want to travel as it's too close to drive but just a little far to walk with luggage, not the fault of the place but it is what it is.

Lovely apartment with a great view. Much bigger than we expected. We were only there for one night so didn't really use the kitchen facilities but everything you needed seemed to be there!

Really great apartment

Great apartment, flexible accommodation, well kitted out. Located just out of town but only a short walk to the shops and restaurants. Handy for the ferries that leave the town

Drive a bit steep and first 100 metres into town lacks a proper pavement

Loved our stay here

Our stay at Maria’s Apartments was perfect. The apartment was very spacious, very nice, the terrace was definitely the highlight of our stay. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy. I would say it looks even better in reality. It’s rather close to the port, I think 10 minutes walking. The view from the terrace is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

Very agreeable good value rooms in great location!

Very well-equipped, comfortable rooms with air-conditioning and mosquito nets at the windows. Beautiful views, garden with flowers, helpful hosts. Loved it!

Excellent night stay for the boat to Ithaca

Reasonable location short walk to town but busy road. The host allowed us to stay beyond checkout time and took us to the port . Can walk to mellissini lake along the beach

we can’t wait to visit again!

The excellent raised location gives fabulous mountain & sea views from the balconies and windows. The apartments are family-run and you can tell that a lot of care has gone into making sure guests are comfortable and happy. Angela was amazing, she helped us out with knowing where to shop and the best beaches to visit. Parking was easy you just pull up outside. Bed was comfy. Ample room in the apartment with handy things like ice tray, bottle opener, basic pots & pans, cutlery, olive oil, spatula and tea towels.
