Die Lage ist super, mega zentral in Fort Augustus und auch wunderbar für Ausflüge. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Im Apartment war fast alles vorhanden was man braucht.
Das Apartment ist im Anbau und daher sehr hellhörig. Zudem hat das Apartment nur zwei Fenster (Schlafzimmer & Wohnraum). Dies führt insbesondere im Wohnraum dazu, dass man auch bei schönem Wetter Licht einschalten müsste. Allerdings ist das weniger tragisch, da die Besitzer das Apartment sehr schön und mit dekorativen Lampen ausgestattet haben.

We loved all the amenities, the location and last but not least the spacious and comfy flat. We travelled with kids so the pool, table tennis and tennis court were very much appreciated. We grown ups loved the well maintained surrounding park, direct access to Loch Ness, impressive building, sauna and steam room, and the beer garden/ restaurant. We also appreciated the tour at check in with Fernando from the Highland Club and the responsivness of the staff when fixing little issues such as running out of table tennis balls. It really justfied the bit higher rates.
The doors in the appartments were very heavy and the extractor hood was dangerously located for our heads but other than that everything was great.

The aparthotel complex in the former fort, later monastery, is truly exceptional. The location on the shore of Loch Ness is perfect, the access is good, and there is ample (free) parking... however, unfortunately, the downsides outweigh the positives.
We stayed at the Highland Club back in 2019 and were absolutely thrilled, giving it a perfect 10. When an apartment became available again this time, we booked immediately, but we were not satisfied with what we received. Our apartment wasn't just worn, which would have been acceptable since furnishings naturally wear out and don't stay new, it was simply filthy and completely neglected. The hotel linens, in particular, hadn't been washed in ages and smelled terrible, but many other areas were also truly awful. We remembered the house as being perfect, and that certainly reinforced the negative impression, but if the management continues to do such a poor job, the Highland Club will soon become a dump... or in the case of Apartment Moat 7, which we received (we booked a different one), you could almost call it a ruin already. It's particularly annoying that the house doesn't need a complete renovation, all it needs is a good tradesman to go through it, fix a few minor things, and have a really good housekeeping team do a thorough cleaning... then everything would be fine again.
