Our third stay at this property was heavenly. This hotel is so unique and special. The location is incredible, perched on the edge of the ocean with views of the Javanese volcanoes. There are wild deer gently roaming the property and the bird life and snorkelling/ diving trips offered are incredible - or you can just snorkel for free straight off the jetty. Love the forest villa - comfortable and spacious. Every staff member is friendly and helpful. Spa treatment was excellent. Three days here feels like a week. And we loved the local food options for breakfast and all meals.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Our two-bedroom villa was spacious, beautiful and felt really private and peaceful – perfect for our family.
The setting is amazing and you really feel immersed in nature. We had deer grazing on the lawn outside our villa and saw lots of monkeys and monitor lizards around the resort. We particularly loved the pool area, and the rock pools just off the shore were great fun to explore.
The staff were wonderful – so warm and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Little touches like the frangipani garlands and coconut water when we arrived, turndown service and being driven around the grounds by buggy made it feel very special. There are loads of activities too, and our guided snorkelling trip was excellent.
A really special, family-friendly place and well worth the journey to experience this beautiful and very different side of Bali.

The bed and the quietness.
The lack of knowledge given its a top eco resort and a nature sanctuary on nature and how to protect it. The rubbish in the water that surrounds the resort and turtle sanctuary, the cats that are kept around the bird sanctuary. The fact I was told that there was no jellyfish but upon walking out onto a jetty amongst mangroves was a box jellyfish. Luckily coming from Australia, I am familiar with such jellyfish in such waters. I don't know whether to criticise Indonesia for trying, but I think you can't call yourself an eco resort and 'world' top safari resort without addressing some of the above issues. I do love that there is some effort to bring back nature and nature but I feel the above negates the purpose.
