Beautiful place, very aesthetically pleasing and all the staff were warm and welcoming.
We stayed 1 night July 31st; wished we could stay longer just to fully enjoy it.
It was during winter so veeeery cold; they provided limitless firewood for us to keep warm.
No aircon which meant the room was uncomfortably cold. The fireplace helped but not without sitting directly by the fire it was still cold. Even the heat distributers were failing.
So I’d say if you hate cold temperatures like me you better visit during warmer seasons.
We will definitely come back again when warmer and we are in Lesotho

Great experience in a unique location. The drive up from the A1 is gorgeous. The lodges are a more comfortable version of the local rural houses you pass on the way. Your own log fire is a lovely touch. The staff are lovely and the food very good too - the very limited choice was fine for me and probably reflects the logistical challenges of getting stuff up there. Lovely walking in the national park.
Room rather cold, and bathroom really cold - the radiator totally inadequate for the size of the bathroom when outside night temperatures are sub zero. The restaurant is a bit cold (in looks not temperate) and really needs a rethink with a design that compliments its surroundings whilst having a bit of character.

Cosy and spacious rooms, easily accommodated my family and I. It was freezing cold and they kept the fire burning for us with plenty of firewood. Although there is no heater in room there were plenty of warming stations all around. Remarkable views for a vacation.
Food for dinner could’ve been improved. Was not entirely happy about it.

Loved the views, a genuinely great stay overall. The views are stunning, amenities were easy to access, and the bath with a view was a real highlight — such a lovely touch.
The he mini bar wasn't complimentary, which was surprising for a 5-star property (most others in this category include it), and the commission charged via Booking.com felt excessive. Would have been better to book directly.
