We’ve just had a lovely stay at The Old Forge in Totnes and honestly couldn’t fault it.
Julie and George, the owners, were so welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. Julie was also incredibly knowledgeable about the local area and gave us some great advice on places to visit, which really helped us make the most of our stay. They both made us feel so at home, and nothing was too much trouble.
Our room was lovely – so clean, fresh and beautifully presented. We were also very kindly upgraded to the family room with a balcony during our stay, which was such a lovely and unexpected surprise. 😊
The room was cleaned and replenished every morning too, which was lovely to come back to.
The breakfast menu had a fantastic choice, and a special mention has to go to the lovely lady in the kitchen who was always so friendly, polite and smiling every morning. She really made breakfast feel extra special. ❤️
The location is brilliant. It’s about a 5-minute walk into Totnes town centre and in a great position for exploring Dartmouth, Torquay, Salcombe and Kingsbridge.
We’ve really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend The Old Forge. We’ll definitely be back!
