The shower, the staff, the other guests, safety (cameras), leaving my bags unattended when room wasn't ready, check in, check out, quiet neighborhood
The sheet didn't stay on the mattress at night and slipped with movement, would have liked better sheets (cotton), however mattress was comfortable

Room had everything we needed - comfortable bed, en-suite bathroom, fridge, kettle and ample storage space.
We were able to make our own breakfast in the room, and there was also a communal kitchen for cooked meals, although we didn't use it. Cutlery and crockery were provided in the room.
We arrived very early after an overnight flight and the room wasn't ready, but we were able to sit in the communal area and snooze until the room had been cleaned.
Staff were generally friendly and accommodation, and made an effort to communicate in Translate even though they didn't all speak English.
Location was OK - it was about 20 minutes walk to Alatau Metro station (with luggage), and there are several bus routes nearby if you can work out where they go. From the airport the 92 bus, which you can catch right in front of the terminal, passes nearby (pay cash, 200 KZT).
There are plenty of restaurants in the area, and a large supermarket not far away as well as smaller shops.
Was quite hard to find as the entrance is around the back of the building, which seems to be both 152/1D and 152/11, and the building next to it has the same numbering. Photos attached showing the correct building and the back entrance.
A few minor niggles - the bottom sheet was really too small for the bed and kept coming off, and the bathroom window looked as though it was falling off its hinges. The sink was loose so it wobbled disconcertingly if you held the sink to get out of the bath/shower (room 23).
The common room didn't really feel like a comfortable place to socialise. Some better lighting and rearranging the furniture might help with this.

It fine for the price. Staff seem nice l
The area is not bad… but it’s quite far from ‘downtown’. If you’re in the end room, you will hear people coming in through the door. This is mildly annoying, but more annoying is the beeping noise it makes! Can this not be disabled at all?
