The property was quirky
A comfortable bed deep bath central for the village
Patio area and local hens and Cockrell were lovely to hear in the morning
Not able to give top stars for cleanliness, unfortunately
Rooms were overfilled with furniture which limited space
Parking was very awkward with a reasonable size car outside the property itself

The property has been restored to an exceptional standard, really homely and comfortable. The photo book where you can see the before and after pictures is awesome.
The hosts are super friendly and knowledgeable about the area and will give lots of suggestions and recommendations of things to do and places to eat.
It’s an excellent base to explore the surrounding area.

Spacious, light and comfortable. Genuinely set up for self catering, in a fantastic position.
Car park is a bit squeezy, but turned out to be easier to get in and out of than it initially looked.

The location was absolutely charming, a traditional dales village filled with stone built cottages, a wonderful church and an interesting , if somewhat dark, history. Ricky, our host, couldn't be more helpful. A mine of local information.
Popularity of the village meant that parking could be a problem. The parking space at the Shippon was a bit tight though this was more about the size of our car!
