Food is really really good. Pies were full of delicious meat and filling, hot hot hot. Dogs were treated like guests.. not allowed on sofas as had their own beds by the fireplace (fire wasn’t on so no danger). We liked the cosy feel, very homely and the morning staff and lovely Australian (I hope I have this correct) wait staff in the evening was very professional and super lovely. Lottie and Jen were gorgeous in the morning after a restless night with our pup and literally couldn’t do enough for us. I only put comfort lightly lower as the bed for our son was used by my husband.. it was a pull down from the wall which was ingenious.. but he didn’t sleep well on it.. and we know it’s not designed for adults. Little details worth mentioning are that there is milk and water available from the bar if you wanted that for a morning cuppa..but as we arrived late we didn’t notice this, but such a nice touch. Lovely place, lovely people. We will return. Thanks for having us.
The shower too a good while to heat and had to be hand held as the direction pointed at the wall and the holder couldn’t be moved to change and hold the direction so it didn’t flow onto you. This didn’t make a huge difference to us as we just needed a wash, and is an easy fix.

Tony and team provided a wonderful experience staying at The Punch Bowl. The staff and team were amazing, as was the food and service offered. We really enjoyed the lovely family suite and the delicious breakfast. It made our Blenheim Palace Halloween event cancellation be forgotten! We will most certainly be staying again in the future as the location is perfect. There's parking facility and the walk to Blenheim palace is 10mins and other local amenities. Highly recommended! Thank you

The staff are exceptionally good at their jobs and made you feel very welcome.
It was clean , cosy and friendly. The only thing I could comment on was the cost of the stay. The breakfast was average with basic cereals and a cheap yoghurt. The cooked breakfast - was cooked beautifully but it felt like cheap ingredients. The eggs were very pale and tasteless , the black pudding amd bacon very very fatty. But - overall this is an incredibly friendly pub in Woodstock that made us feel veryy welcome.
