We loved everything about our stay in Shibu Onsen Koishiya Ryokan. This was my first ryokan, so I didn't know what to expect. It was immediately obvious how hospitable the staff is. The house is charmingly old, the complimentary shuttle was convenient, the food was tasty, the room spacious, the shared toilets and bathrooms clean, and the gaming corner a real treat for our son. The area has public baths which would be great in winter. There are restaurants and shops with unique offers nearby. At the weekend, the ryokans set up traditional games right there on the street. Such a lovely ryokan in a charming little town that I highly recommend everyone!

Nice japanese style ryokan. Friendly staff that help you with everything to visit the onsens nearby.

Great location and very good size rooms. Comfortable beds. Staff were helpful.
I prefer to have a private bathroom, so although we knew that the facilities were shared, I still would have been more comfortable to have had our own bathroom

Great location,
It was really cold. Lots of heaters but couldn’t keep the chill out.
