It was like a youth hostel. Open and friendly. Shabby couches and very comfy bunk beds. The bathrooms were clean, the showers good. The kitchen was also kept clean . Mostly, the staff were welcoming and friendly

It can be an hour between buses to get anywhere. Having said that, there is a lovely beach 50 meters from the hostel!
