Comfortable accommodation in an excellent lakeside location. The staff were really friendly, and the food was very good with generous portions.
The cleanliness of the towels and bedding could have been better, and the room was quite dusty during our stay. There was also no Wi-Fi for most of our visit, so I would recommend ensuring you have mobile data if you need to stay connected.

Extremely hospitable owners and all staff. Comfortable common areas with views of lake and Thumbi island. Boat tours from property. Bar with good beer selection and specialty cocktails. Preorder excellent dinner. Breakfast provided. Clean budget rooms just across street, and nicer rooms with lake views.

The lakeside is beautiful, serene and calm. Great for quiet reflection and rest. The surrounding village is very basic and rural, but safe. The coexistence with the local community is evident - there is a small curio shop and local tailor on the property for guests.
The staff and the owners are hospitable and polite. The lady owner was very helpful and responded to my questions and needs while I was here.
There are many outdoor activities at the lodge which are offered by community members/groups. Prices are reasonable. I didn't get to sample these though as I just enjoyed the sights and sounds.
The sunset here is breathtaking! That made my stay!
The beds are not very comfortable. The floor in my room was cracked in places, the bathroom windows did not close. It was really hot at night but thankfully there are two fans in the room you can turn, which is a great relief! The shower could do with a curtain or screen and a vanity to put toiletries on when using the sink.
The breakfast and dinner options are set menus and very basic. For dinner, no options are provided. Breakfast has few options. Lunch is on you, so I was referred to two local restaurants in the village nearby to visit - both of which served very delicious meals with options of fish, beef, goat or chicken, reasonably priced.
The internet connectivity was good, when it was on (doesn't work when there is no power), and you only get one GB free on the first day, thereafter you have to pay!!
There does not seem to be a designated smoking area in the restaurant so it was extremely uncomfortable having to move around to avoid secondary smoke.
Not as much beach as I expected, certainly not what is on the pictures on the booking sites. It looks like the lake has risen with time.
There are no flights available to Cape Mac, and the road to this place is quite an adventure - it is after all in the national park!. What used to be tarmac is potholed or non existent in many sections, so buckle up!!
