Fantastic location.....Mere footsteps to the beach. Our particular unit has a very unique location with features that few others in the area can rival. Bordered by ocean and forest, we have a remarkably tranquil, private setting. Rathtrevor Beach is renowned for it's magnificent beauty, miles of soft sand and safe, warm, ocean swimming. Couple that with being nestled beside the enchanting old growth forest of Rathtrevor Provincial Park, with its miles of hiking and biking trails meandering along the ocean and through the forest..... and you have a winning combination for a fantastic getaway. A home away from home... As many of our guests have remarked, our Beach Haven is all that they anticipated and more. This 3 bedroom, 2 full bath condominium is spacious and bright, with over 1200 square feet, cathedral ceilings with skylights and numerous windows. It has all of the conveniences one would expect to find in a luxury condominium. Large, fully equipped kitchen, separate dining room, four flat screen TV's, Netflix, 2 DVD players, high speed internet/wifi, gas fireplace, gas barbeque and patio table and chairs on our private roof deck, grassed yard, covered carport, storage area for bicycles etc. The condominium sleeps six comfortably with two queen pillow-top beds in separate rooms and 2 twin beds in another bedroom. The best of both worlds... The beauty of staying at our Beach Haven is that you have all the advantages of being in the heart of an international tourist destination while still feeling miles away from anywhere in this peaceful, secluded setting where you can watch the deer and rabbits feed at the water's edge, right outside your window. You are less than a 5 minute drive to Parksville and 20 minutes to Nanaimo, approximate population 10,000 and 100,000 respectively. Fantastic day-trips... Within an approximate two hour scenic drive in any direction, visit the charming capital city of Victoria to the south, stopping in at Chemainus, famous for it's murals and Duncan, the 'City of Totems', go north to the beautiful Comox Valley and smaller islands of Denman and Hornby or head to the wild and rugged West Coast with the world famous Long Beach and it's quaint fishing villages of Tofino and Ucuelet. Simply relax... A great alternative is to spend your days relaxing on the fantastic beach or exploring the neighbouring provincial park, on foot or by bicycle. We had a lovely stay at Tanglewood #16. My kids loved playing on the beach in the day, even in January! We used the beach fire pit every day. The unit was well equipped and had everything we needed. We were able to cook full meals with the well stocked kitchen. The unit was clean and suited my family perfectly. I would book this unit again in a heartbeat. It was the perfect get away location for a family get away.

My family and I loved our stay! The unit was cozy, quiet and clean, with a view of the ocean from the dining room and the living room. We loved walking out the door and being just a few steps from the beach. The beds were very comfortable (and I am very picky ever since I fractured my spine). The kitchen was very well stocked. I already dream of going back next year.

Very happy with the condo, the only issue we had was locking and unlocking of the upper deck, because of that we didn’t use the deck.
The bedrooms were very spacious, kitchen had everything we needed. There was 5 of us, so having 2 bathrooms was awesome!
Lower deck was used a lot and loved the short walk to the beach. We walked the beach everyday - found a few shell…..it was great!

We enjoyed the modern condo. Everything promised was availability to us. Perhaps a little more emphasis should have been made on the access to the condo and the parking space. There are an exceptional number of steps to gain access which, being age 84 myself would be a problem for handicap and elderly people. Unfortunately, my wife is on peritoneal dialysis requiring 10 litres of fluid each night this fluid plus the equipment was hard to navigate upwards. I have never seen a parking space so hard to maneuver out of. There is a sharp upward incline and an immediate turn to the left making it awkward to see while requiring the vehicle to be reving up to overcome the incline. The the vehicle then starts to go downhill while travelling backwards making a safe maneuver difficult. Then an attempt to go ahead and make a sharp left hand turn to avoid hitting a building and likely having to back up to adjust the turn the second time in some cases made the whole adventure unnerving.
I believe these problems should be included in the promotional material as some drivers likely would be intimidated with the whole adventure. The host said the matter of the stairs was in the material but the great number of steps to be navigated was not emphasized enough.

We really enjoyed our week in this lovely home. The views and the location are unbeatable, and the condo itself is amazingly well equipped. It is well stocked with all the amenities of home and unbelievably comfortable. We were only steps from famous Rathtrevor beach and the Provincial park next door and took advantage by walking the beach and the trails each day. We’ll certainly be recommending this wonderful vacation home to all our friends and family.

What a wonderful rental property. Our party consisted of my wife and I, and our adult son and daughter. This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom met our needs perfectly, especially bedroom wise and bathroom wise. I always try to find a place with a BBQ to offset food costs and this unit made the checklist for that also - a natural gas BBQ as a bonus. This is a large spacious rental. It is an upper level unit so there is some stair climbing to get to it, but this was not a problem for us but, could be for others. The rental is well stocked with all necessary items. The rental unit owners are very accommodating and were in contact with us and also available if we had any problems (there were no problems). The view of the Salish Sea was what my wife really desired and she was greatly pleased with the views. My son and daughter (and myself) were also equally pleased. Tricky parking spot but, after some advice from Joyce, easily handled. My family highly recommends.

Having spent many summers vacationing on Rathtrevor Beach as the children were growing up, we could not have picked a more perfect
place to spend a week of our holidays! Reminiscing about past adventures and making new memories all while staying in a beautiful beach view condominium brought much happiness to the entire family. The great space, fine furnishings and all of the amenities in the unit ensured that everyone was very well looked after! Many thanks to Joyce and Max for being so thoughtful.

This is a beautiful property in a resort on one of B.C.’s best beaches. The unit has lovely ocean views framed by trees as well as an easy beach access. The unit was well stocked and sparkling clean. It exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend.

They even have tin foil and saran wrap available etc. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need and beach equipment in the easily accessible storage unit. Beautiful large unit which allowed four adults and two children to sit in the spacious dining room for dinner. The glass over the wood table was perfect for letting the grandkids colour their sea pictures etc. without fear of them ruining the wood. The hosts were wonderful to deal with, checking in to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything. We would love to rent from them again in the future. They have every detail covered. Although we loved staying here in the summer, I can imagine winter in this unit would be just as wonderful with the gas fireplace going and watching the storms out the living room window. Truly a bit of paradise!! Thanks for sharing it with us.

My husband, 2 adult children, and I stayed for a week at this lovely 3 bedroom townhouse. We loved the location and views from the main floor windows. It was quiet, private, and just a stone's throw from the beach! It was the perfect place to just lay low, relax, and getaway from the busyness of normal life. We had quite a few rainy days while we were there - but managed to go for walks during sunny breaks and had a campfire while enjoying the sunset one night. The townhouse was clean, very well stocked, and I was very happy with the quality of the kitchenware. We've rented other places before that used the cheapest possible dishes, plastic cups, plastic cooking utensils (that were gross and melted)... this place had Corelle dishes, quality glassware and cookware!! I would highly recommend this rental and we hope to return one day!

Everything about our recent one month stay was perfect. The condo is exactly as shown and so clean and well equipped. Joyce was great to deal with and always prompt with her responses. This place was plenty big for four adults and one teenage. The view in the morning is outstanding and we will miss our morning coffees on the ocean. The area is beautiful and it is so great to be able to walk in Rathstrevor park everyday. Summary: fantastic place. You will love Parksville!!

We recently enjoyed a three week vacation with family and friends on Rathtrevor Beach, residing in this clean, bright and spacious three bedroom townhouse within close proximity to both the provincial park and public beach. It was an ideal location for walking and hiking, including discovery adventures for both children and adults on the seabed floor at low tide.
There were no surprises or disappointments, due in large part to the hosts' organizational skills. We would definitely recommend this property to others in search of a well-situated waterfront vacation.

We (2 couples) were very pleased with all aspects of the month that we spent at 16-1065 Tanglewood. The condo was most comfortable and well equipped. Amenities were as listed. The location of this condo is a real attribute, being located at the beach with a beautiful view and next to Rathtrevor Park. There were numerous places to walk on the beach, on trails in the park and in other surrounding areas. Communications with our host, Joyce, were excellent. At the time of booking, she made sure that we were aware of the stairs involved in case they might be an issue. We were informed by text when the condo was available on the day of taking occupancy. The couple of needs that we had were attended to immediately. We would definitely book again if we have the opportunity.

This place was perfect for a beach getaway! We loved the private location within the complex and it was so lovely to look out and see the ocean out front, and the forest to the side. The condo was very well stocked and we packed way too many things we didn’t need at all. We will be back for sure and will only bring our clothes next time! Joyce was great to communicate with and we had no issues with anything whatsoever, except 3 nights was not nearly long enough! We are looking forward to our next stay here!

Very bright and spacious, it is well designed with lots of windows and skylights providing light and views from multiple angles. Liked the big comfy sectional, cooking in the well stocked kitchen and sitting on the sunny upstairs deck! Joyce is a pleasure to deal with. We will be back!
