This is a very basic accommodation, but if you have come to Morocco to see and learn something about the true life in the country and don't just want to see tourist sites, then this is perfect.
Met very friendly spanish charity workers who explained a lot about the area, the country, politics and life here.

This was a small, rather spartan hotel in a small village up on the Atlas Mountains, overlooking a small stream. I actually had a hard time finding the place at all, but I friendly young man directed me there after about half an hour of looking around. The scenery was beautiful, but I was tired from all the mountain roads. It turned out I was the only guest at the hotel for about a month, and the place was in the middle of a renovation. I was still taken good care of, and received a hearty dinner (breakfast was OK too). In the shower, I could enjoy plenty of hot water. Despite the cold (or exactly because of it), I slept good under the heavy blankets. I had declined the gas heater.
The room was very small, with barely enough room to get around the double bed. The sheets were paper-thin. Because of the renovation (a temporary thing, of course), there were no working wash basins, and I had to wash my hands in the shower. The host was friendly, but acted a little too much like I was a guest in his own home. I would have preferred a more impersonal approach. (Perhaps he was overcompensating for the renovation; but he could have taken the place off booking.com, or cancelled my booking.) So even though I was relieved to find the place and get a good, hot meal and a good night’s sleep, I probably would not stay here again.
