I booked this hotel at the very last minute, after an unexpected change of plans, and I honestly didn’t have much time to research it beforehand. What a wonderful surprise!
This place is a true oasis of peace right in the heart of Antananarivo. Set in a beautiful colonial-style house, it feels much more like being a guest in a Malagasy family home than staying in a hotel. The atmosphere is warm, intimate and incredibly welcoming.
My room was beautiful, and I absolutely loved the décor. As someone who is passionate about antiques, I especially appreciated the gorgeous furniture and all the objects and details reflecting Malagasy culture throughout the house. Everything has so much character and personality.
The breakfast, which is included, was very good, and the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. There is also a lovely swimming pool, which unfortunately I couldn’t enjoy because the weather was too cold during my stay.
A real hidden gem in Antananarivo: peaceful, charming, full of character and with a wonderful family atmosphere. One of those places that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. I absolutely loved it.

It was nice staying in the heart of the capital in a French colonial building. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed (hot water shower...let the water run long enough to get it, a fan, strong and reliable wifi). Breakfast was nice! We asked for a taxi for a late night flight and the staff arranged it for us. There are lots of nice restaurants within easy walking distance.
We knew this already but keep in mind there are a lot of stairs to reach the guesthouse so if you have lots of luggage (or suitcases with wheels), it might be difficult for you.

Beautiful old building with a nice garden with a pool with a view. A little oasis in the bustling centre. Tastefully designed and big spacious rooms.

Staff is very friendly and the hotel is very nice and comfortable, with a calm environment. Breakfast was delicious.
The area around the hotel is quite hectic.
