Great value for money. Guy at reception was great. Hot day and gave me a beer on check-in. Complimentary continental breakfast is great

Great location for exploring the main street of Gulgong on foot, which is one of the main reason we stayed there. Our room appeared to be renovated not so long ago and was better than the one we stayed in about 2 yrs before.

The included "free" breakfast at their Larsens restuarant accross the road was the most basic and lousey attempt of a continental breakfast we have ever experienced. Basic ceral, cold mini crossiants (that we saw there the night before) and only slices of white bread in cling wrap to toast, butter, jam & vegimite packets. No tea bags or even instant coffee to have with your breakfast. There was honey but it was in a half empty large plastic bottle and looked old and disgusting. When we told the staff member we were there for the motel breakfast they just pointed and said "over there" then went back into the kitchen area. Breakfast was an unpleasant and unwelcoming experience and nothing like the great one we had there on our visit about two years prior. Having said that about the "motel" breakfast at Larsens, we did have dinner there the night before and it was very nice, as it was also on our previous visit which is why we chose it again for dinner this visit. Just go elswhere for breakfast! Only saw one motel staff member for about a minute when checking-in. Check out was leave keys in a box, office closed.

Comfortable bed. Good shower. Location was good.
