Quiet, great to have whole property with parking, very comfortable, small but had everything we needed. Comfy bed with crisp clean sheets. Great location for meeting up with family and friends, great local places to eat (except on a Sunday night, where everywhere seems to close late afternoon!)
Sadly the bathroom could do with a little attention, the shower screen seal was green/mouldy needs replacing. Mastic seal needs replacing around the bath and base of the hand basin. Dusty in parts, ie. table lamp bases in the bedroom, some furniture and under bed, it felt the place hadn't been lived in for a while? Bathroom towels were clean but quite small and well worn. Couldn't get the oven to work, so just used the microwave! Nowhere to go out and eat on a Sunday evening!

Everything we needed was there. Small simple details including, kitchen roll and a first aid kit (we needed some antiseptic cream) were available. The bed was very comfortable and everywhere was clean. It was in a great location not far to West Mersea and other attractions..
The dining room table didn’t need to be so substantial and maybe with a few furniture alterations the downstairs space could work better.

Absolutely loved the little garden and the massive bed. Very comfortable.
Kitchen could have been a bit better equipped but it was manageable

Perfect for our needs - visiting family & birdwatching. It was small, but comfortable and had everything we needed to cater for ourselves.
The big chair in the downstairs room!!! It was really in the way.
