Location. A very convenient stay which included a gym and is situated inside a shopping centre. Also very centrally located and easy to get to tge City from the hotel. Bikes were good too.
I made a mistake in the laundry by not following instructions but the receptionist helped me rectify it.

The fact that it was outside of main Amsterdam. The hotel and neighborhood are quiet and residential, making my stay quiet and residential. Just what I wanted. Another perk is the attached mall to the hotel. Incredibly convenient.
It's no the hotel's fault to be honest, as Holland is a cold country, but I would appreciate it more if one could open the window.

Went there for business. The room was lovely and I know the area around the hotel very well, it’s amazing.
Check in and check out were felt highly unwelcoming. At check in I was asked to directly pay a deposit of 100 euros to the hotel. Mind you, I had already payed for the two nights in advance. I offered my credit card (I figured for possible future expenses), but it was insisted I pay the deposit at the spot. I would get the deposit back at check out. After that, I was made to sign for a ‘waiver to not smoke’, which I found unnecessary (I’ve never smoked and hotels generally just have a sign in the room), and then it turned out the waiver contained much more information than just the non smoking. Which would never have been a problem, but the way things were presented was just so odd. At check out, I was informed the hotel had increased the room rate, and I was asked to sign for that. Another surprise. That amount was actually withheld from the deposit, and then I was informed I wouldn’t receive my money right away, but that it typically took ‘a little while’. Anywhere from two to five days… I figured I would go home and contact Booking’s customer service about the extra room charge, but they automatically refer you to the hotel. Bad service all around.
