Lovely House, excellent host

Excellent service and host! Lily is a wonderful person and her Cottage has everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen, very good beds, cozy and functional seating area, terrace and patio. The garden is so beautiful and the pool clean and big enough. The location is excellent: you can walk to the taverna and supermarket and more tavernas and shops and the beach within 5 min drive. No neighbours nearby but everything so close. Wi-Fi works fast and there’s even Netflix. We can truly recommend this place!

Perfect 10/10!

Everything about this cottage is really 10/10, location is great, close enough to the city, within 1 km there is everything you need (restaurants, supermarket, bakery and so on) and still it is isolated from neighbours so it’s very quiet and private, most of the time all we could hear was the birds singing. Cottage is located among trees on a hill so there is a beautiful view with open sea in a distance. The garden is charming and very well maintained, our 2 year old had a huge amount of fun in it. The cottage is equipped with everything you might need and everything is superbly clean. Lily is the perfect host, very friendly, available and helpful. She was waiting for us with her homemade mussaka in oven and delicious cake, treats and fruits on the table. This is probably the best place we've found on Booking so far. Thank You Lily for great stay!

Exceptional

The cottage has everything you need for a wonderful holiday. The garden is beautiful, with lots of places to sit and relax/ read/ eat. The location is just out of the town, on a hill with glorious views and there are a few spots to eat within walking distance and many a short drive/ taxi ride away. Being in the centre of the Island it is well located for driving to most places, though we didn't venture as far as planned as it was lovely just to stay at the villa making use of the (Slightly cool in April) pool. As others have mentioned Lily is an attentive host without being intrusive, the homemade treats, and well stocked fridge were perfect for a Sunday arrival.

A relaxing stay with a lovely pool in great scenic area. best to have a car!

Among Olive grove, with lemon and apricot trees! Apart from the local dogs very quiet, great view of the sea and surrounding hills and villages. 10 minute walk to two local restaurants, supermarket and bakery. 20 minute walk to main strip with lots of restaurants and beach

Exceptional hospitality and beautiful cottage

Upon arrival we were greeted by Lily who had freshly baked moussaka in the oven and other fresh baked goodies, fruit, coffee, water, bread, jams, cookware, utensils, juicer...you get the picture. Immaculate and well equipped house owned and managed by a warm and generous individual. High quality finishings and furnishings. Beautiful gardens and pool area. All around great accomodations. We seldom return to the same vacation spot, but Lily's will be an easy exception to make.

Wonderful stay and we have booked for a summer break.

Exquisite destination. The cottage has every modern facility while retaining a sense of Greek charm. It is a spacious and well designed cottage. The garden and view are delightful. We did not use the pool as it is winter but we have booked for a summer break as the pool is ideally placed in the garden and we know the cottage has everything we want for our comfort. Short walk to the village with bakery, butcher and supermarket. A short drive takes you to beautiful beaches with never ending sand and many supermarkets and shops. Lily is the ideal host and is available if you need her for anything but is happy to leave you to enjoy your stay. Her hospitality is second to none. We highly recommend Lily’s Cottage for your visit to the Rethymno area.

Perfect !!

Everything was really really great. We had the best time of our hollydays in Lily's cottage ! All was perfect : the house is confortable and fully equiped, the beds are very good, everything was very clean. The garden is big and the swiming pool is perfect ! Lily received us so well, with homemade moussaka and she also baked a cake for us ! The fridge was full of fruits and cretan specialties. We could not believe it, it was so nice, thank you for everything !! Lily was very nice and available at all time in case we needed something. I wish we could have stay more time !! It really was my best experience on Booking. Don't hesitate to go !! If I come back to Crete I hope to stay in Lily's Cottage again! Merci, muchas gracias, thank you! Beautiful, relaxing and in the perfect location to explore the whole island!

A very friendly reception from our host Lily, which included home-made Cretan delicacies. The property was beautiful, clean, quiet and very comfortable to stay in. We particularly loved the swimming pool, beautiful garden and relaxed atmosphere. Lily was also very quick to respond to any issues we had and had numerous travel suggestions during our time in the area. We would happily go back and will be recommending her cottage to all our friends and family.

Lily is an amazing host and made our stay comfortable and wonderful! Everything was perfect.

It's a wonderful house with a cosy fireplace (it can be pretty cold in Winter). It's located on a hill in a really quiet area, surrounded by a beautiful garden. We loved the view from the livingroom and that you are near to the sea. When we arrived Lily also surprised us with everything we needed for our first breakfast (including a delicious selfmade cake!) and much more. Greece at it's best!

Exceptional

The georgeous garden with the pool and probably one of the nicest hosts, we’ve ever had. Lily baked a delicious cake and made the best Moussaka to welcome us plus fresh fruits growing in the garden and even more already in the fridge plus beverages. Where else do you get that? There is also to mention the quietness, without beeing to far from all the needed infrastructure and last bit not least the view on the sea. Overall, we had a great time there!

Fabulous

Lily‘s Cottage is extra-ordinary beautiful and nicely located in the middle of north-coast of crete. Lily welcomed us cordially and even baked a cake for us. The house was nice and pretty clean. Equipment is sufficient. The garden was made up perfectly. If you want you can just chill the hell out of this place for 5 days straight. But the near hot spots, Balos Beach, Chania, Knossos and needs to be visited as well. Pro Tip: Visit on October (even November) is fine, beaches are less croweded and weather is nice.

There is no negative at the Cottage.
