Accommodation near the end of the Lofoten Islands is scarce in season, and most of it is expensive. The Sorvagen Inn is more of a hostel than a hotel, with a useful shared kitchenette which can save you money on the expensive local restaurants. Picking up the key from the jolly ladies at the Maren Anna restaurant was easy enough, and the room was clean, bright and tidy when we arrived. Parking was free and easy, right outside the door. The Inn is at the start of an easy walking track that takes you past the Sørvågvatnet lake and up to the beautiful Sørvågen waterfall with superb views out over the sea. I'm sure that you would get great views of the stars and aurora right from the door if it were dark enough with minimal light pollution. The half hour walk west along the road to the village of Å is highly recommended, with beautiful views at every turn. We had a pleasant and peaceful stay at the inn, and the other guests were quiet in the communal areas.
Our bathroom was rather tired and could do with refurbishment.

This hotel was a budget friendly choice in an expensive area. The room seemed to have been recently renovated and, while small, suited our need of lodging for one night quite well. The ensuite bathroom was a huge factor in our decision to stay here as most budget friendly options around here have shared facilities. There is a small shared kitchen directly as you enter the building with a table. There is some parking directly outside the building, but several of the spaces are reserved for adjacent businesses. The location is very good for visiting the town of A (with the circle on top) and Reine is not far away. There are several trails in the vicinity of the hotel for hikers.
The outside of the building and the kitchen looked to be in need of a bit of improvement. Registration in a nearby restaurant was a bit awkward. Sadly the restaurant was out of two of the things that feature predominately on the menu, so the menu was extremely limited when we visited.

This is very clean. Restaurants nearby. Close to the bus stop. Good space in the room and the bathroom. Easy communication. They were very kind to let us leave the baggage for a few extra hours after we checked out.
Would be nice to have some more cutlery like plates, forks, knives, etc.

The staff is located in other premises and are very friendly. The location is quite good.
The surroundings of the building is not very nice, building has thin walls, small rooms. The breakfast is not included.
