Beautiful room - very spacious and had it's own private patio/terrace area - lovely grounds and good size swimming pool. There were tea making facilities in the room - maybe some English tea/black tea bags would have been a nice addition. Although the hosts do not provide dinner they did give us some options to try. Parking was free and available.
We felt that the hosts were efficient but very business like and we would have liked the opportunity to feel some of the warmth mentioned in other reviews. We had asked for an extension so that we could enjoy the pool as we had a late ferry crossing- this I did some time ago when making the booking and also we asked on arrival. We were told that the house would be shut down by 11 am so we would have to to leave by then and indeed the pool was covered over whilst we were still eating breakfast so we could not have used it anyway as we thought we could. We thought that they were leaving for a few days but in fact it was so they could re-open at 5 for new guest.

The wonderful 'homey' feeling was clear from the moment we walked our bikes through the gate. Marvelous attention to detail. Clean and beautiful - inside and out. A lovely breakfast prepared us to continue the day's ride. AND - who doesn't love a big, sweet, black lab to welcome you in? Highly recommend several days there if you like castle visits.
We liked it all. Perfect for a tired couple of bikers.

Charming hosts and lovely property plus a swimming pool that was very welcome in the very hot weather - Comfy room , good breakfast and excellent Routiers restaurant close by. Ample free parking
