We had a great stay at the Barreirinha Funchal House. It’s located in the east end of town, an easy walk to restaurants and the water. There is a wonderful seafood restaurant just minutes away, perched over the seashore. The house was big enough for our group of four adults and one tween and the rooftop terrace was awesome. Lots of seating options and the view was incredible. The hosts were very supportive as well. There was an issue with the house when we first arrived which they addressed immediately. And when we found the house to be quite warm, they provided a couple of extra fans.

Great location in the old town, so not so much hill walking! The property is spread over 3 floors with a lovely roof terrace with sea views. Great base to explore Funchal, 5 mins walk to the cable car, restaurants and small shops.
It was hot when we were there, a/c would have been a bonus!

Douches en sanitair wat oud. Douchegordijnen, lekkage vanuit een toilet.
