Great location, excellent food and friendly staff

Food and staff were excellent.

I struggled to get to sleep, but this may be more to do with me than the room!

Great value for money, comfortable stay, friendly staff.

Very clean and staff friendly. Decent food on offer each evening and a good breakfast to order in the mornings. Room was comfortable and cleaned each day and tea/coffee/biscuit facilities refreshed.

Personal preference but the bed was a little on the soft side. Minor things such as TV cable hanging down and slightly loose light fittings but nothing which really impacted the experience.

Good stay

friendly and welcoming throughout my stay

The main corridors are packed with sheets and linen in bags and are an eyesore. they were also blocking a fire extinguisher although I don’t want to see a major fire risk near to where I am staying the night.

Nice relaxing stay

Breakfast was fabulous and cooked perfectly.we had our evening meal both nights and it was fabulous credit to the chief .The rooms are cosy and warm .lovely local walks .We will be back.

Rest, Relaxation and Rock!

A lovely traditional pub/hotel, the room was small but had everything you needed, nice little "extras" and was spotless. I have to mention that the bed was the most comfortable l have ever slept in! We had dinner in the restaurant, the menu was varied and had something for everyone. The food was beautifully cooked and presented, as was breakfast. We were also treated to a night of rocking out as there was a fantastic band playing! The location was very pretty, had we more time we would've love to explore further,we will certainly return later in the year and would recommend a stay there if you are in the area.

The walls are very thin! I was awoken by the sound of our neighbours using the bathroom... I'm just glad we didnt meet them in the hallway...

it’s a warm and friendly pub with a great community commitment. The accommodation is separate from the pub and I had not noticed any noise in the room which was warm and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good as was the dinner the previous evening. I only stayed for one night, but it is my second stay at this location.

a nice stay in a good location not far from Cheddar, Wells and Glastonbury

nice room with tv fridge and kettle. Air conditioning. Bathroom was very modern and great shower. plenty of clean towels. Bed was comfortable The pub side was lovely with a good selection of meals. Leigh and her staff were great. Lovely breakfasts

we enjoyed our stay

It was clean and comfortable and most importantly dog friendly. The food was good!

I was worried about not being able to sleep as could hear the hum of an external extractor fan/air conditioning unit not sure which, however this stopped once the pub had closed.

Friendly and comfortable.

Fully equipped room and fridge…..generous extras : biscuits, tea, bottled water, coffee shampoo, moisturiser, soap, shower gel. Extra pillows, good storage space and loads of coat hangers? Three towels each. Large walk in shower. They’ve thought of everything. Especially a three point plug near a mirror. Good choice of food for dinner and a great breakfast.

Very creaky floor but then it is a very old quirky building.
