We enjoyed our stay in Húsavík and were happy in the Skógar Sunset Guesthouse.

Our room was clean and comfortable.

Superb

The place had a feeling of being modern, very clean, with many useful accessories (kitchen utensils). The place is in the middle of no where but that really was no problem. Great view of the mountains and sunset.

Communications was a total disaster. I arrived and there was no reception or admin office. I did not know which unit was mine. I finally found a gentleman in a nearby building; I do not know whether he was the owner, worked there or just a good Samaritan. He made a few phone calls that got us the unit number and the door code. The fun did not end here; we still could not open the door. About twenty minutes of pulling and pushing we finally got the door open. Evidently we were supposed to be notified about the logistics but that never happened.

A nice room with all that you need and a lovely sunset view!

The room was clean and had everything we needed. It also had a lovely view.

Wished the bed was harder. Although there is a hotplate provided as there is no exhaust fan you won't be able to cook anything too smoky

The guesthouse was very confortable, spacious, clean and well-decorated. The kitchenette had all the utilities we needed. The electric stove was stored on a drawer under the sink. But the best thing was the sympathy our hosts showed us. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights, but unfortunately were caught up in the middle of a snow storm, so they refound us for the first night we couldn't get there and stayed in contact with us throughout those days, indicating us the best way to arrive on the guesthouse since most roads leading there were closed or slippery.

Cozy apartment with amazing view!

Apartment is located in a barn, really spacious and super clean! Everything is there. Nice size bathroom, amazing beds!, good kitchen. Also the view is amazing, you can see the see from there and let me tell you it is breathtaking! Unfortunately there was no pen to write into the guestbook :( And one of the things we did not bring to Iceland is writing gear :( Otherwise i would have loved, or we would have loved to write in the guestbook! Thank you Solveig and Örn!

Great place to stay, comfortable beds, warm, great views. There is one stovetop that you cannot see in the pictures which was a nice add on to cook something small for dinner.

Ugodna soba s kupaonicom i malom kuhinjom opremljenom s osnovnim aparatima (hladnjak, mikrovalna pećnica, kuhalo, električni plamenik za kuhanje) potrebnima za pripremu obroka. Ispred sobe se nalazi manja terasa na kojoj možete uživati u prekrasnoj prirodi sjevernog dijela Islanda, a na korištenje vam je dostupan i roštilj. Omogućen self-check-in što vam omogućava i kasniji dolazaka u smještaj.

Aptly named

It‘s located a little way away from ‚downtown‘ Husavik (about 5 minutes by car), which makes it a very quiet place to stay, and the view from the terrace was just perfect. It was clean, had very comfy beds and a well equipped kitchenette - and, of course, the terrace. We had a very nice, very relaxing time there!

Wonderful place with a wonderful view: we saw a super romantic sunset from the private terrace we had. The apartment is well furnished, perfectly clean and with everything you need for a short stay. Super recommended (10 min from Husavik)
