Location perfect,you can reach any destination in Yorkshire in 2hours from coast to coast, we visited knaresborough, Harrogate,York, Whitby and Lake District, Aysgarth is where my father was born in yore mill cottages, visit the beautiful falls great meal at Aysgarth falls hotel, also wheatsheaf in carperby, very accommodating staff. Not forgetting redmire village inn always great food and company.

We’ve been here twice now and love it, everything is so Clean and comfortable and has all the features in a cottage you need. Area is great for taking the dog on nice long walks and the village pub is so friendly and the food is fabulous

Lilac cottage is one of the best holiday rentals we have ever stayed in. It was a very comfortable home-from-home and had everything and more for a really enjoyable stay. We were 3 generations of our family and we all loved the house for different reasons which would take too long to list but include the lovely enclosed garden, the comfortable sofas, the kitchen with its massive cooker, the amazing beds, the peace and quiet, the village of redmire itself. We loved the storage and the decorative touches too.
The people we met in Redmire were friendly and there were lovely walks on the doorstep. Our dog had a brilliant time too. Check in and check out was easy with the lock box and there was loads of info about the house and the area in the folder and in the kitchen. We would love to stay here again the next time we are in the Dales.
