Quiet place outside the city. 40 min by train to Edimburg. Pub with nice food.
Breakfast was not what we paid for. On the check in they said they had a problem with the kitchen and couldn't provide what's usual so they were going to serve continental breakfast instead. But no boiled eggs, cheese or salami, no iogurt. Only milk and hidrates.

Clean room, very helpful staff and comfy beds!
Unfortunately, the sink in the bathroom was blocked and was unable to drain so we had to wash hands, brush teeth etc.. in the bath. Staff tried very hard to help and gave us free breakfast as a result.

Simple accommodation for what we needed when visiting friends nearby. The staff were friendly and were able to resolve the issues we had with our room.
We paid for a family room for 2 adults and 2 children but there was only a double and a single bed with no bedding on arrival. The manager did resolve but waiting around at post 10pm with small children isn't ideal.
The room only had 1 bath towel for the 4 of us. Again quickly resolved.
The bathroom was not clean, the toilet needed a deeper clean.
