Comfortable and clean room. Nice breakfast with eggs to order. Can relax in the lounge after hours. Free coffee and tea all day. Plenty of free parking.
Self-service check-in outside the door didn’t work. Had to call the posted phone number to get in.

Nice selection of choices for breakfast with eggs prepared to order. Great to have water, coffee, and tea available any time of day for free plus a selection of beer and sometimes wine to choose from on the honor system. The staff could not have been nicer. Plenty of parking.
Check-in kiosk wants a lot of information just to check-in and get the key.

We had stayed before and Hotel Sarah was a good half way point for journey into Lower Saxony. The previous experience was exceptional but the hotel has changed. Now it’s an automated check in system, no staff until check out and our email request about whether breakfast was included went unanswered? There is no longer a restaurant at site (previously the home cooking was amazing and reasonable) but now it’s a travel out or takeaway. Many places local were not open so it meant a 10 minute drive to get food in Heinsberg town. The room was perfectly comfortable but no air con just a fan and we visited during a very hot spell. Room was ground floor so not happy to leave window open and moderate traffic noise. That said it’s a functional room, free hot drinks and water from the reception area and there were some beers available on an “honesty basis” and these get added to your bill in the morning.

Lack of staff so it all felt a bit impersonal after a previous experience which was a shame as the reason for our return. Breakfast is provided as an extra. This is a generous continental style with some hot items but quite expensive at €15.
