Vila Korani was slightly set back from the main street, which made the hotel calm and one did feel as one had left this busy city. Still, the hotel was very central - max 20 min by foot to all the central places and sights. Best breakfast we had in Albania.

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was homemade and varied
We got a room on the 3rd floor which might be a problem for elderly people or people with heavy luggage. For us wasn’t the case so it wasn’t a problem

If you are coffee snob, look on the outside
indoor area for breakfast is a bit small and at the busy time there is a need to share a table with others, but hey, make new friends?
Location is wonderful, easy walk to new and old market, downtown, etc.
Bathroom is very clean, but it would be nice if they installed an S-trap for the plumbing to avoid the sewage smell coming up.
#1 issue is parking. To be fair, they do warn you it is tight, but did not expect this tight
less than a foot of clearance on the side of the car and a pivot up the driveway which brings it down to less than 4 inches to clear.
I did scratch my car thus causing extra expenses with the rental.
Breakfast area outside as well as walk to room overlaps with area where people smoke and for those of us who do not like smoke there is NO way to avoid it. Would prefer smoking was not forced upon me walking to my room or having breakfast.
While I appreciate the desire to be green, we check in on a VERY hot day (38-39C) and were going out for a walk, so we left the AC on. Yes, there is a sign encouraging to turn AC off, however, because it was so hot we figured for 1 hour we were away it would allow for room to cool down. We came back to the hot room as staff went in (we had our belongings out and no warning was given) and turned it off. Not a comfortable moment.
Walls are very thin and you hear conversations and walking from hallway and other rooms. But when we wanted to go to sleep, room was quiet.
