Dirt and dampness

The property was very close to Matera center and old town and it had a private parking. The host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly every time I texted him.

The apartment had no windows, making it dark and without any natural light. The furniture was very old, and there was no air conditioning. The entire apartment smelled strongly of dampness, along with another odor that reminded us something like insecticide. The floors were dirty, but the worst part was the bathroom, which looked like it hadn't been cleaned for days. The toilet was stained from previous guests, and we had to clean it ourselves before using it. It was disgusting. The bathroom faucet was also dirty. There were also drain flies in the bathroom, which made the dampness issue even more obvious. The refrigerator was dirty, and on top of that, it didn't even contain a single bottle of water. The kitchen chairs were dirty as well. There was a children's bedroom where several bath towels had been left carelessly on a chest and on a radiator. There was also a plastic storage box with more towels simply thrown inside.

We had tree great day in Matera the people where very nice love the town the festa of the Madonna

It was good very close to the piazza where they had the Festa of the Madonna Bruna very close to the sassi it was Clean and cooler even if they did not have AC . The lady was very nice she left us her umbrella because it was raining and we did not have one .

Superb

Location excellent - easy access to pedestrian zone, private parking lot available. It was provided clear instructions for remote check-in via booking.com application and phone, all appeared issues were solved online (WhatsApp) w/o delay. Breakfast was very basic - hard to call it breakfast :)

A little bit surprised apartments w/o windows, but for one night stay it is OK. There was no possibility to leave car in parking lot after early check-in, which create some inconvenience, as we left city only afternoon. We reserved apartments for 4 persons, but bed was prepared only for 2. Extra bed linen was available in apartment, so it was not difficult to prepare ourselves.
