Well stocked kitchen with all essential items to use
Both nights of our stay there was a car in our space next to the property, luckily we could park next to the little shop/laundry room ( not the owners fault obvs)
No towels were included which is odd as you don’t travel with towels when staying in full accommodations
The en suite bathroom smelt a bit damp and the shower hose was rusty where it loops but otherwise clean

We were up in Cheshire for a family wedding, and looking for something flexible that would suit our needs. This little site of a handful of cabins was just the thing. The location in North Rode was perfect for us, and there is good walking nearby, especially Bosley Steps, which is only a short distance away.
Despite some the doubtful reviews I have seen recently - which had me a little worried about what we were letting ourselves in for - we were actually pleasantly surprised by how nice and spacious the cabin was, and our stay was a very comfortable one. The living room is a good size, with an open kitchen. The three bedrooms are roomy,
and the addition of a bathroom and ensuite wet room is great for the money. The furniture, although a little tired, is of very good, solid, quality - and the beds are very comfortable. The cabin was cosy and warm, so it is obviously well-insulated. I can imagine it would be lovely with the log-burner going in colder weather. Plenty of hot water too.
We had to bring our own towels (which we knew), but did not need the tea towels and cleaning products we had packed on the advice of another review - these were provided, which was very helpful.
The rural location is nice, while being close to local amenities in Macclesfield - as long as you don't mind frequent trains going by during the day, as the railway line is very close to the cabins.
There are some minor niggles, which could easily be fixed with some maintenance and keeping up with breakages.
There are signs of damp in the ensuite wet room, which would not take much to look more presentable, and the heated towel rail clearly has broken controls (by the way, the master switch to power this is in the hall, if you are searching for it... like we were) so we were wary about leaving it on.
There is a smell in the main bathroom, which did linger a bit (other people have commented on this in their reviews), although this got better once the shower had been used. I guess it is just build-up from the drains, and the air fresheners in the bathrooms did point to the fact that the owner is aware of this.
Our main issues were kitchen based...
There is a real lack of serviceable plates and cutlery - nowhere near enough given three bedrooms and a possible six adult guests. For example, there are only three dessert spoons! Some additions to the cutlery drawer are definitely required.
And the fridge has an inexplicable habit of turning itself off. It was off when we arrived, and turned itself off a couple of times the first day or so we were there. We spent one night away at a wedding, and when we came back the fridge was off again (on when we left). Luckily we had no plans to do much catering, so only had to throw a few things away from the warm fridge. I did text the owner about this when we left, but did not receive a reply, so am not sure if they knew about this or not. - but this is something you should be aware of if you are planning to settle in and cater for yourselves during your stay.
