Spacious and local to Alton Towers
The living room sofa needs replacing, not comfortable when using as a sofa bed, as cushion filling worn down to the wood. Staining to back cushions and other cushions in living room.
The downstairs stank of dogs when we got there.. I have a dog myself so not being fussy, but it was really noticeable. The downstairs loo didn’t smell clean, damp and musty. Great board games we attempted to play but bits missing unfortunately.
Lovely house but some attention needed to the above.
Overpriced stay based on this.
Having to make a damage waiver payment before being given the property access code didn’t feel right. Why isn’t this required or included at the time of booking?

Location was amazing. Alton is a gorgeous wee village and a great location for visiting Alton Towers!
Property had everything we needed and the bonus of an enclosed garden which meant our dog could wander in and out without us worrying.
A great sociable kitchen and dining room. And lots of board games to choose from too.
There was a beautiful pub just down the road with a gorgeous beer garden by the river. Lovely walk up to the castle also.
Could do with a wee refresh and the drainage in both showers is very poor.

First of all the pictures are nothing like the house. It was more like a student house than a nice air bnb
It was basic , the previous peoples cookware was left in the dish washer, shower leaked
