Enjoyed the experience of staying in an iconic location. The weather was sunny and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking over the lake. Beds surprisingly comfortable!
You don’t go for the luxury - though we are budget travellers and it was fine.

Unique opportunity to stay in historic building; fine example of Soviet architecture; great lake views from room & lounge which is also a cafe & does a reasonable breakfast; we had read v poor reviews but we relished the fact that this is a time capsule and we did not expect luxury -it was clean enough & simple; we loved it here and found the staff as friendly as could be expected when we don’t speak their language.
Matresses were not particularly comfortable; more building maintenance could be done but we appreciate this would be a v costly task.

Historic Soviet site, classic brutalist architecture, it feels like time travel. It’s an original stay for Soviet history enthusiasts. Breakfast in the morning is basic but good eggs and tea.
Very basic amenities, not clean (especially bathroom), electric heater was dysfunctional so it got very cold overnight. WiFi is not accessible from the room.
