Would not recommend.

The valet who picked us up was amazing! House was relatively tidy not clean but tidy.

No functioning stovetop or oven. Requested matches to be able to use the stove top and did not receive them despite the numerous follow ups until 3 days later. Kitchen was dirty, plates and pots still had food scraps in them. Utensils were dirty with obvious food stains. Bathroom rail was broken, see image attached. Bathroom tiles were also mouldy. It was a challenge in itself to shower given the broken shower door that meant water poured onto the ground outside. Buggy was also malfunctioning. Broke down despite being charged the whole night. When we called the buggy shop even the maintenance man himself said that this buggy always has problems because it is so old and owners don’t replace it or upkeep it. Would not recommend this accomodation at all.

Comfortable, quiet, peaceful stay in a beautiful location

My friendly host, Dean met me at the airport :) He led me to my buggy which I’d be zooming around in for six days. He gave me lots of information and escorted me to my fully self contained 2 bedroom apartment which was in a quiet leafy area with stunning ocean views. He was only a phone call away, should I need anything during my stay. My friend joined me for three nights, so a bedroom each was nice. The beds were comfy, neatly made up with clean sheets. Aircon in the bedrooms was a bonus on the hot, humid nights. Beach/pool towels were supplied. Pool was the perfect temperature.

The apartment was not as clean as I’d expected for the price I paid. I bought cleaning products and spent 45 minutes cleaning before I settled in. It was cleaner when I left that when I had arrived but still needed some work. The curtain in the main living area fell down after I arrived, which gave me a fright. I didn’t worry about it though because the outdoor area was private and I enjoyed the view. I reported it as I vacated the apartment, so it could be repaired for the next tenant. The place was comfortable but could do with a spring clean and some minor maintenance. I’d stay there again.

Overpriced and underwhelming

Nothing. It felt like we were camping.

The sofa was old and smelly. The outdoor space was neglected and untidy. The bathroom had broken fixtures - the towel rail was hanging off the wall and the sliding shower screen was broken. The doonas were cheap and revolting .

Property ok, buggy great, fantastic island

Property is really showing its age, light switches were intermittent, kitchen cupboards didn’t shut, pots and pans old, no on demand tv etc

overall our stay was good and the staff were quite responsive to our requests.

the property’s location was good close to the everything and the view from the main bedroom was great.

The only issue is the bed / mattress in the main bedroom. it’s quite uncomfortable and I ended up with a back pain.

Great location, very quiet except for the birds

Only 2 champagne flutes and only one wine glass. It would be good if there was something pointing out that the cockatoos can open the screen doors, we came back one day to discover that 5 cockies had got in and ravaged the bread. Our own fault for not closing glass doors

Very run down apartment. Golf buggy provided had a battery so weak it only just got up hills.

plenty of space. nicely furnished. gardens.

some maintenance required. kitchen tap loose. missing paper holder in upstairs bathroom. towel rail in bathroom needed fixing. downstairs toilet cistern dislodged from wall. downstairs aircon may need repairs as the cold air wasn’t very cold.

Disappointed in the apartment this visit but it’s definitely in better shape than apartment 3

location is good and property is quiet - buggy an advantage

Apartment 2 had air con problems which I was told about on day before arrival. The tv in main bedroom wasn’t working and the ceiling fan had problems. Furniture is dated and cleaning staff need to do better job.

Disappointing

not much. weather was terrible could not book a restaurant and when we did prices are ridiculous and not worth the money.

The apartment was ok but hamilton island is too expensive with not enough places to eat with exorbitant pricing for average meals. 4 of the 6 days just rained heavily. Save ur money and go somewhere else. Always rains in Queensland is a terrible place to visit.

The property is lovely and homely. There was a great amount of space for our family of 4. The property had a good view of the ocean from the balcony which was lovely to wake up to in the mornings. the property manager was amazing and he was so prompt with his response. If we had an queries he was absolutely fantastic!

We did find some mould in the shower however, this could have just been an oversight. The beds were very firm and by the 3rd day. The property manager did say that they would have this sorted after we left and the springs were sticking out.

Great location, good weather, good design and layout, clean, good facilities, poor maintenance.

Sunset Waters are good units for a small family. Well designed in a good location. The units were clean and the grounds are well maintained. Unfortunately maintenance has been neglected and needs attaention.

Sunset Unit 1 had problems with maintenance - bedroom door not closing properly, bedroom door handle loose, ceiling fan control missing, broken leg on coffee table. Sunset Unit 13 had a faulty aircon system in the second bedroom.

Hamilton is beautiful

Location Buggie worked well Easy pick up and drop off. Staff very friendly and efficient

Feedback for the owners only not for public posting Cleanliness of facility requires attention. Filter cloths dryer dangerously full, no toilet brush in upstairs toilet, dirty cutlery, pillow main bedroom very old and smelly. Cupboards crammed full of broken furniture(under steps), bed lamp master bedroom ‘thrown’ into wardrobe. Maintenance: air conditioning bedroom and lounge don’t turn the aircon off, downstairs one drips excessively, chain on blinds in 2nd bedroom rusted and not working Washing machine floods the laundry Door falls off the laundry tub, towel Rack bathroom just hanging on wall
