Onyado Nono Namba Natural Hot Spring

Pretty much EVERYTHING! It was extremely traditional, the workers were polite and the vibes were amazing!!! And the onsen...My God, it was sooo good after a long day of walking.

Everything was great!

First- I love the no shoes policy in the hotel guest areas. It made our room stay that much more comfortable and I definitely felt a big difference in how clean your establishment is compared to the other hotels. The shoe locker in the reception area is such a nice feature. Our room was beautiful, we loved stepping up to the low tatami futon beds, bedding was clean and very comfortable. The screens on the windows gave us privacy when we didn't want full sunlight but still allowed light in. The room darkening shade was much appreciated as my child sleeps better with a very dark room. The air conditioner worked great and kept me cool which was a blessing as I am dealing with hot flashes. Bathroom was a good size and your water pressure is wonderful! Breakfast was delicious, much better variety than the Dormy Inn which we stayed at in Shibuya. We loved having chawan mushi and natto, along with gyudon and raw tuna/salmon. The layout for the dining room made it easy to get food and be seated, staff was warm and welcoming. We came to Japan for Japanese food and although my kid wasn't feeling well with stomach issues, they were happy you had plenty of Japanese food that they wanted. I thoroughly enjoyed the hot springs, especially the room with the rocks and twinkling lights. The changing area/dressing room and vanity area was always clean and well stocked. Having premium hair dryers was a very nice gesture both in the room and the spa. The free yogurt drinks and popsicles at the spa area made us very happy every day, and it was so nice to have a microwave for us to heat things up. Your ramen is so good in the evening. The noodles were perfect in texture, I kept telling my friends in my messages and chats about how good it was 😂 and even when I was not that hungry I ended up finishing my bowl! I highly recommend your hotel to everyone and would be happy to stay there again. It was very family friendly and we were very pleased with our stay.

I only had one negative reaction when I wanted to change the date of our breakfast, the employee acted like it was an inconvenience but we couldn't help it as my child wasn't feeling well enough to eat. The smoking area by the spa can sometimes get very smelly, and the odor escapes that room into the common area where the free yogurt/popsicles are.

The hotel is very near to Nippombashi station, and there is a lift nearby to the station. We also can walk to Dotonbori for shopping and food. The hotel includes ramen for supper, and there is ice cream and yakult outside the onsen area.

The location

This is a typical traditional Japanese hotel, mainly suitable for young travelers or backpackers. However, those who are older, have a physical limitation, or value comfort will likely not enjoy their stay here. The rooms are very small, and the bathroom is downright impractical — the size and height of the furnishings seem more suited to children than to adult Europeans. The beds are very low, making them I unsuitable for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. That said, the mattresses are of good quality. All in all, we did not feel the hotel was worth the amount we paid.
