I didn't know this was a love hotel. And that explains why the rooms were so massive. I got a room with a panoramic city view which was 4x the size of any other room I stayed at in Japan. It also had a massage chair and a jacuzzi. Lovely! The staff were very friendly too. The location was excellent. In a quiet side of a very vibrant area. Everything was walking distance. I also got a 3hr late check out for 5k JPY which was very reasonable.
The room furniture theme was old, as if it was from the 1970s.

Location was superb, this place is right in the heart of the action but is also so quiet, The reception staff at check-in was a breath of fresh air, she was so friendly and funny, she spoke good english too!, our room on the 11th floor could not have been better, although a little dated it was huge with 180 degree penthouse city views, huge comfortable bed, massage chair, huge bathroom with spa bath. Thank you for for the free umbrellas at checkout, we passed them to 2 young girls at the station who were also caught in the downpour.

The bed is quite large for Japanese standards (although the pillows were too soft). The room is excessively spacious (maybe too much), and there were many toiletries available to use. The location is easy to reach and close to many places of interest in the city.
The hotel is old, and the furniture and finishes are outdated. The bathroom had dark tiles, and I could see black mould in some places. So showering was not very pleasant. Breakfast is a mix of Japanese and Western styles, but it was too oily and not very tasty. Coffee options were disappointing.
