The apartment was in an old building but was wonderfully renovated. Very modern and nice. Location along the river was excellent.
The owner continued to text and bother us after we paid cash, including for the taxes and fees. He insisted that we cancel the reservation because he didn't want to pay the fees or taxes. He texted probably a dozen times throughout the evening while we went out to dinner and later as we walked along the river in the evening.
I told him that the instructions stated that if we cancelled, we would be charged the full amount and I had already paid the full amount so didn't want to be charged twice.
Eventually, he changed the listing to show that we rented one night for $4 so that he paid only pennies in taxes. His constant badgering and texting was unacceptable.
