This is a fantastic authentic guest house run by two of the most helpful owners you come across. We done lots of trips this year and this is one of the best we have strayed at. Ignore the two star rating because the private rooms are 5 star.
Nothing

Lovely atmosphere, really friendly owners, and a nice fresh breakfast every day. Room was clean and toilets well maintained.
Nothing, it is a great ryokan and would highly recommend

The breakfast included was sufficient and filling. The staff are helpful and full of recommendations. Their English language skills are excellent, which is helpful for those struggling with Japanese. The room is spacious and comfortable, as well as very clean. They offered to vaccuum our room while staying there as well.

This is a traditional Japanese style inn (not sure it counts as a ryokan or not?!) with full size rooms, very comfy mattresses and bedding and owners who are all in heart and soul. It’s well located, walking distance from the train station even with luggage and to get wherever you’re going. Breakfast is light but well prepared daily and Yoshi is on it with all the information you might ever need (or not!) There are plentiful bathroom and shower options and although they don’t have an onsen they partner with several in town you can buy entry tickets for (there are also other options in town you can just pop into on your own.) The send you off with a parting gift if homemade soap. Really a lovely job they are doing.
Nothing not to like really. Plenty of room in the room, options for places to hang out other than your room, lots of bathrooms and shower facilities. Immaculately clean
