We had the most wonderful stay at Ilir Guesthouse in the beautiful little town of Permet. The family who own the guesthouse are absolutely lovely, their hospitality was a real highlight for us. We were greeted with a traditional welcome drink of homemade raki & fig gliko which was a real treat.
The guesthouse is very centrally located with easy parking outside. A number of “Slow Food” & traditional restaurants in Permet are just a short stroll away. We had dinner at Sofra Përmatare which was amazing. The very pretty main boulevard in Permet is also only a ~2 minute walk away. The guesthouse rooms are comfortable & the rooftop terrace is an idyllic place to relax with a hammock & lounge, tables & chairs under grapevines laden with bunches of grapes. This is where we had the very generous & delicious breakfast with the best petulla we had our entire time in Albania. I cannot recommend Ilir guesthouse highly enough, Albanian hospitality at its finest! Thank you so much to the Ilir family, we really enjoyed meeting these lovely people & staying in their fabulous guesthouse

Central location, fantastic terrace to enjoy Jesus and beverages, or just relax. Friendly staff and the welcome raki and sweet were a nice surprise!

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The place was nice, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The terrace especially was beautiful and idyllic, and the mountain view from it was gorgeous. The breakfast was very fresh and delicious. Overall a great value for money! Highly recommend!
