fair for the price

- room is good but too small for a family - house owner family is too friendly - breakfast is good - bathrooms heater working good - there is restaurant near by walking 600m

- if you travel with car parking is little hard because the road for the room is not good - while you book please check the tax amount because they are charging around 35% - 40% tax from room price

Ok for one night

The location was great, especially if you are there to take the train. The family is very kind. The bed was comfortable and clean. The view is spectacular. For one night, it's ok, but to be honest, we stayed for the same price in wayyy better and bigger places, so based on that, I find it overpriced.

I didn't feel safe walking in the area alone in the night. It was dark, and there were a lot of drunk men. Our door didn't lock completely. I mean, it did, but there was a gap in the door, so we could hear everything from the other renters who were thankfully calm on our turn. The room is very small. It'a basically just a bed.

Selva welcomed us with open arms and made us feel at home. A beautiful guesthouse opposite the railway station, the room was clean,modern cozy and very comfortable bed. The views are breathtaking where you can see out from the balcony of the tea plantations. To top it all our experience at the train view finished with an amazing traditional Sri Lankan breakfast which his wife had made fresh for us, Dahl and string hoppers, pancakes and the local tea, it was perfect and the first time we’d tried Sri Lankan breakfast 10/10 from us! Thankyou Selva your an amazing host and we wish you all the best 🤗 (We travel by car and wanted to try the train ride from nanuoya to Elle, Selva knows all the times and offered to have a dinner cooked for us for when we we’re back which was very kind of him. Times it departs is at 9am and 12:45pm and a return one is 7/7:30pm)

This property its close to nanuoya, close to Nuwaraeliya. Close to plantation the and the host is really friendly and gently all the time .we fully recommended to stay with them😄

Really great stay near the train station

Good location right by the train station. It was a really peaceful setting overlooking tea plantations. There were frequent buses into Nuwara Eliya which was really convinent. The bed was big and comfortable. The host was very friendly and helpful. The Sri Lankan breakfast was the best we've had here, really tasty and served when you want.

The room was very small for two people. The wifi wasn't working when we were there but this isn't the hosts fault and they were very apologetic for that!

If you stay here make sure to get dinner here as well. It was the best rice and curry I had in Sri Lanka. The manager is really nice and helpful, would stay here again any time :)

I am over all satisfied.

For the price I paid it was worth it, people were very nice and polite, I would recommend to every one.

Not enough hot water flow for bath as they had winter like weather condition.

Very good

The location is good nearby railway station and bus stop for nuwara eliya. Its around 15 mins ride. The family who is managing the hotel are very kind. I will definitely recommend travellers to stay here.

it’s lovely place surrounded with mountain, with good location and so close to train station.

host is very helpful and welcome. my train was delayed five hours and arrived at 2am. they still can me checkin without any problem.

we really liked the place and the lovely family!

we loved it here! only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. Nanuoya is such a sweet little town and this hotel is in a perfect location if you want to explore the area. the place is small and so are the rooms, but for us it didn’t matter. we loved the view from the balcony! the whole family was so kind and we enjoyed a very tasty breakfast :) thank you!

Perfect stay near the train station

The view from the rooms to the tea plantation hills is amazing; The owner and his family make all the efforts to meet your needs, even picked us up from the train station without our request and for free; The room is small but comfortable and clean; The surroundings are beautiful for a walk in the morning and there are buses passing all the time to Nuwara Eliya

A great local place

Was a great stay, the host Selva was so kind and helpful , he even let me into his home to eat dinner, they offer food which i recommend , home made fresh and delicious, they teach English in the afternoons to the local children which was great to see, the wifi is very good and the location is right next to the train station in nanoya, the rooms are basic but everything you need, I was only planning on staying one night but ended up staying two, thanks for the stay!

The room had a great view, very comfy bed and it was pretty clean. Plus, I could enjoy some amazing scenery from the windows and the terrace. The family was lovely, too and they spoke decent English. This is actually a perfect place to stay if you're visiting Nuwara Eliya. The Train View is in Nanu Oya, right at the train station (but don't worry, Nanu Oya is a small and sweet place so it's too noisy there or something) and Nanu Oya is about 20 mins from Nuwara Eliya (you can take the local bus and the bus ride is really scenic). I also liked that there were plenty of local restaurants around.

Amazing!

Hosts were fabulous, so welcoming, and very close to the train station. Organised drivers for the two days we were there and recommended great trips to do during the day. Food was AMAZING best we’ve had on our entire trip.

Did not live up to the hype of the previous comments!

Situated within a walking distance from the Railway Station. There is a walking path leading to the guest house straight from the town center. (Nanuoya is a very small town by the way.) Bathroom had hot water, which is an essential need in this part of the country. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

We realized that this place is not the good option, only when we were trying to reach there, since we had our own vehicle. The access road was of very bad condition. They did not have any secured parking space either. (Luckily you can squeeze-in a small vehicle to the neighbouring land.) It was a bit difficult to find the place also. Our biggest shock came when we were shown the room. The bathroom was different than the one shown in the original booking. The commode didn't have a commode seat! When asked about this, we were told that they couldn't do anything since they were full. We just had to cope up since we were staying for the night. Considering the amount we had spent, we were not expecting any luxuries at all. But, we were truly disappointed because of the lack of basic facilities (and of course about the difference from the original posting in Booking.com).
