This is outright one of the best places I have been staying during my travels during the last three decades: Moosiyard Hometel is run by a family, who make you feel like a real guest rather than a paying customer. This becomes obvious already when arriving: they greet you with a small treat. This small treat repeats every day. The breakfast is welcoming and huge, but you may need that when walking in Khao Yai National Park all day. The rooms and bungalows are comfortable, contain everything one needs and impeccably clean. The entire compound is built around a well-kept garden that gives an excellent holiday feel. If there will be another chance to visit Khao Yai, we will definitely go back to Moosiyard hometel.
For us it was perfect. However, if you are the "international luxury hotel" or "chain hotel" type of person and expect lush bars and evening entertainment (other than the sounds of the rainforest), this may not be the right place for you.

The setting of the different rooms overlooking the beautiful, extensive garden is perfect, with the river running at the foot of the property and huge, beautiful trees behind. The room was super clean and had all I needed. Sitting on my verandah watching the birds and butterflies was just a delight. The family and staff running the place were so helpful and accommodating and their evening food particularly was delicious. Easy walking to several little snack/drinks shops and good local restaurants and cafes all within 1km.
I literally cannot think of anything.
