Welcome to The Hilltop, one of six properties in the private log home community of Country Acres Estates and Log Home Rentals. This cozy home will allow you to nestle into the rustic setting of a genuine mountain cabin. Enjoy the classic furnishings, the large stone fireplace or light a bonfire in the outdoor fire pit under the stars. The wrap-around porch is partially covered so you can enjoy it despite the weather. What’s nearby: Country Acres Estates is conveniently located just three miles from Cherokee and Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Hike the trails in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, fish the Oconoluftee River or raft the Nantahala. The Cove is a short drive to Bryson City, Sylva and Waynesville which all have restaurants and shopping. This cabin location is perfect, the views are breathtaking, and the cabin itself is a great floor plan. The gas fire place offers zero heat source which was a huge bummer. I live in a home with a well and hot water tank so no bougie expectations here, however the hot water ran out really quick. The cabin also needs a good cleaning, cub-bards have insect droppings and cobwebs are throughout the cabin.

Pros: Prívate Road, cabin is well constructed and was clean. Had everything you need. The indoor fireplace was a huge highlight.
Cons: Main floor bed has a huge dip in the headboard. Made it difficult to sleep. Also you can hear everything since the cabin is completely open to upstairs bedroom. Not good for couples!
Overall loved the location and the secluded area.

This home was beautifully decorated and had an abundance of space in the kitchen. It was very clean, which we immensely appreciated. The fire pit was a great feature, one that my 8 yr old and his grandparents thoroughly enjoyed. The one thing I would say that could have been better was the consistency of the Wi-Fi… it kept going out and we could never get the cable channels on the tv in the living room but it worked fine on the tvs that were in the bedrooms. Overall, a VERY nice home and I would definitely recommend anyone stay there.

We enjoyed our stay in The Hilltop at Country Acres cabin. Everything was clean and the cabin looks just like the pictures on VRBO. We will likely be back.

The country seclusion was great. Cabin looked amazing. Price was worth what we got out of it. I absolutely will be staying there again in the future.
That being said. Parking for this particular cabin was lacking for MY needs. I trailered a motorcycle from out of state. There almost wasn't enough space to have my 2016 explorer, trailer, and motorcycle. The road the cabins are on is a one way street. Which I didn't notice upon arrival due to the sign being hand made and blend in a lot. The outside trash can had trash in it when we arrived to include loose (non-bagged) trash.
None of these are important gripes just things I noticed. If you have any doubt about staying here.....do it.

Comfortable, clean, great location, nice fire pit on premises. We are planning to rent it again in the spring time when rhododendrons are in blossom.
Two ideas for improvement: the light over the dining table - please instal a light dimmer switch, curtain in the upstairs bathroom - please shorten the lining (plastic).

We loved the log cabin design, the space and comfort were bang on! The home is well appointed with everything needed. We hate the weather wasn’t better and that we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit.

Central location to Cherokee, Silva, Maggie Valley, Gatlinburg. Quiet, great view. Roku tv a challenge, upstairs shower curtain 12-14" too long and moldy, grill rusted out, did not work, water leak under kitchen sink needs repair. Having to strip sheets and put in washer not a big chore but not top rating normal. Hilltop is a nice cottage, but not five star.

The carbon monoxide alarm went off several times and we called Vacasa to report this safety issue. We received no follow up communication after we reported this safety issue after being told that a service call would be made. We ended up checking out early and checked in to a hotel because we did not want to take the risk with our family. We were told that the issue would be sent to a manager. No follow up from Vacasa or the local management company.

The cabin and location were outstanding. However, after arriving we learned that the oven did not work on the first night. We contacted management who said they would have someone look into the problem. We did not hear from anyone and arrived back at the cabin to find someone had left a toaster oven on the counter to replace the broken oven. We had family nearby and planned to cook several large meals. I followed up with management several times and was told a local appliance company would be over to repair the oven. That never happened and we did not have an oven the entire trip. To make things worse, the gas grill that was provided had rusted out through the bottom, so anything cooked would just leave grease all along the porch. The grill was so dirty that the grease caught fire and had to be extinguished. I informed management about the problem, but again, nothing was done. After 5-days of only having a stove top and microwave to cook, I asked management for some form of reimbursement. They said they needed to speak with their manager to approve this. Too no one's surprise, I have yet to hear from anyone in management.

Great cabin for the three of us. The cabin is not be very close to others and offera quiet peaceful location. Very convenient to Cherokee and Bryson. Vacasa communications were excellent. We found the cabin clean and well prepared for visitors.

We loved this spacious, beautiful cabin! The cabin was clean and well appointed. The kitchen was great and the living room was very comfy. The fire pit was amazing for nights outside. It is the most peaceful place to visit and this is our second year coming to Country Acres Rentals. We stayed at the Cove last year and we will be coming back to stay at the Oaks next time. You can't go wrong with Country Acres! Its magical, peaceful, restful...just amazing. You won't be sorry!!

A very clean and comfortable cabin, with the right amenities for us to get a little bit of work done then head out to enjoy the area. Very convenient to the main entrance to GSMNP (and elk viewing) and to Bryson City. I only wish it was a little closer to home, so that we could go back more often.

We enjoyed the country feel on this Hilltop getaway. The fire pit area was delightful for roasting hotdogs, marshmallows and great talks that happen around a campfire. The cabin was spacious and comfortable for 4 people. Will definitely consider renting again!

Beautiful home; excellent communication. The only negative is that dirty towels were left in the washing machine and there was no laundry soap with which to start load before leaving as instructed.

I will in the future look for a private person rather than deal with a company like Vacasa i was 3 days without wifi service and no resolution or call just texts to be patient. I left without ever having connected to wifi for the remainder of my stay. I also asked about a coffee pot before i was to arrive didn't here anything back on that. Please be advised when using the oven in this location that it is not vented well and it will start to have a very strong odor of gas, we used the fan and it was still bad. It also set off the smoke alarm 2 times. No we didn't burn our food.
There was no dish rag or dishwasher detergent for the dishwasher. And last but not least the book left for instructions does not match the instructions left online. Nor is there a next page to help with the wifi. When calling the phone number on the weekend they were experiencing a more than usual high number of calls
The positives...The decor, furniture, beds were comfortable the location was perfect..close to hiking trails, stores, restaurants. It was nice to sit out on the porch in the rocking chairs. The fire pit area is nice if you are lucky to find fire wood in town. Over all it is a very nice place and very clean...just the customer service was not that great for us.

Here are a couple of things that would be helpful for future guests...
On VRBO, the cabin showed as 'rented' for the first night we wanted to stay, but when we called Vacasa to check it, it was actually open. Not sure why it showed as booked because the representative, Jessica, said it did not show on her reservations.
It states in the check out instructions that one load of laundry (towels, etc.) should be started and that a pack of laundry detergent would be provided. There was none, so we called Vacasa on the second day of our stay and was told they would notify housekeeping to bring some by the cabin, but that never happened.
The actual coffee pot was a little difficult to use. The output for the coffee brewer is based on the setting of the coffee pot lid. We did not know that until it ran over the filter basket. Later we found the attachment for the top in the cabinet. It enables the spring in the filter basket, but that would have been helpful to know!
It would be helpful to note in the rental description that if the power goes out, there is no water because the water pump does not work. Thankfully, that happened during the night before we were checking out the next morning, but we could not shower. We were also glad we did not have children with us, or this would have made things a little bit more complicated.
We definitely recommend this rental or any of the other cabins in Country Acres cabins. It was a beautiful, serene property!

Hill Top Peace
A slice of Heaven in the Smokies. Beautiful quite location, appears isolated. But 5 minutes around the hill easy access to groceries, gas. Restaurants. Best of both worlds. Both location and Cabin beat our expectations!

We had a wonderful stay. We loved the area as the cabins are spread out far enough that you were not on top of one another call. Upon arrival we found our cabin was nice and clean and within minutes from stores restaurants and casino. We will definitely be back!
